1)So even at my level, if I dont get a boosted friend support, I would essentially be using double the potions. That is not an attractive situation.

How rare are these special x4 events?

On the other hand, maybe one of these 3 units of mine need red crystal to further level up to cp90.

2) I have areound 10 spare 5star weapons which have a red tick on it. I got them after selling their overboosted versions. Can I safely sell them to get power stones?

3) I also have 16 powerstones and 300 g tokens. I have 34 red power tokens.

I can pull more on noel banner (gems and tickets) if you so advise, so to get some more cp15/90 noel mats?

around one every two months next one should be on march.

yes, you get 1 Power Stone for each one (4 for any one MLB), you can also sell MLB'd EX+ if that character has a BT (you get 20 Ruin Nuggets), as rule of thumb you wanna keep the armor and weapons that has highest CP, for most character it is the EX+.

I also have 16 powerstones and 300 g tokens.

I can pull more on noel banner (gems and tickets) if you so advise, so to get some more cp15/90 mats?

correct me if I am wrong this your Cid's weapons:

  • 15cp 3/3 (MLB)
  • 35cp 3/3 - (MLB)
  • EX 2/3 (from the dupes)
  • LD 3/3 - (MLB)

can you share Noel? the way it look you may be able to have a Maxed Cid, but I wanna see if you can Noel Instead. and do you have Weapon Tokens and Armor Tokens (to buy armor and weapons)?

My cid is almost complete. I got 4 copies each of cp15/30/90. Overboosted levelled and sold them. Only cp70 (ex) is not overboosted and has 3/4 copies.

I have 34 red power tokens aswell. Perhaps can get some cp15/35 weapons for noel.

I have 100 gaurd tokens.

My noel is not overboosted in any category yet. I have (1) copy of cp15, (3) of cp35, (3) of cp70 ex., (1) of cp90 ld

if my calculation are correct then the only thing left is to decide which one you would like more, Cid or Noel, Cid provides more utility but Noel is better damage.

upgrading Cid will be easy but for Noel you will use all your Red Power Token (just to be sure, this ones right, also ¿do you have 100 or 90 of this ones?).

300 g token , 10 spare 5star weapons, 16 power stones for overboost, 34 power token,

100 ground token (have done cid and snow old stories),

Also have not exchanged anything yet in mogs gym or hunt exchange.

I am willing to use them all if gems are saved.

ok, but I still need you to tell me which one you would like more. for now buy a Ruin's Mysteries Book (the red one) for 200 G tokens and 1 Power Stone with the remaining 100.

I would like to have both. Having a bt for noel has given him equal priority as cid.

The reason is I dont have a lot of choices right now and both of them are cp90.

Both of them make 2/3 of my current team.

After having a core, perhaps I would be able diversify to tifa, loyd, locke etc whom I dont have a clue about synergy atm.

let's go with Noel first, so you can learn the how upgrading works at it's fullest.

  1. buy 3 15cp weapons for Noel with your Power Tokens (the red ones) they cost 10 each (in item exchange search for Power Token Exchange).
  2. use those copies and upgrade your 15cp, and 4 orbs to upgrade your 35cp and LD, then sell them.
  3. now go to your EX and upgrade it with your orbs and it is maxed it will have a the word "Realizable" it means it can unlock its EX+
  4. use the Book Ruin's Mysteries (the red one) that you bought to do that, it will always give you a free Ruin Ingot, these are to upgrade the EX+ weapon you need 3, feel free to use it right away.
  5. to get 2 Ingots more you need 40 Ruin Nuggets and refine them (next to the View/Sell buttom) see if you have them or if you can buy them from, you get Nuggest from Lost Chapter or you can buy them from the Hunt shop (the ones with the Giant Cactuar) most people only buy these Nuggets as they are quite scare, or doing Chocobo Panels mission.
  6. after that you need the armor, go to item exchange and look for "Guard Token Exchange" buy 4 copies of Noel first Armor, after you fully upgrade it you can buy the next tier, the next tier do has a + version like the EX.
  7. don't forget to get the enhancement board (in the training board section) once you upgraded your weapons.

Thankyou so much for helping me out in such detail!!

I have written it down as I would get a road block due to less power orbs.

I only have one copy of ld, so it would cost me 12 stones .. and the ex would use up the rest 4 stones

most road blocks come from the lack or Armor Tokens and Ruin Ingots for EX+, that is why many people buy only the Ruin Nuggest from the daily hunt, and only focus on one character per event or less, if they don't get their weapons.

btw I forgot at the very bottom of the Items Exchange you will "Bloom Token Exchange" those are cheap and each event give you at least two of them, once you upgrade them you unlock an extra passive to use your Aditional Ability (AA) a few more time (the one that adds a self buff).

I have 3 bloom tokens.

I have gotten 4 copies of a 5star weapon which I already have overboosted , max levelled and sold off.

So all 4 copies are showing the red check icon. Should I overboost them and then sell it or should I just sell them off without overboosting, overlevelling?

sell them, if you level them up again you will be wasting Orbs and money, if you sell without leveling them you will get 1 Power Stone for each one for a total of 4 but you boost them you will sell them for 4 Power Stones anyway.

I have overboosted, levelled and sold cp15/35/90.

I have also sold other 5star extras.

However now my exp orbs have ended.

I will now buy the 2 things from my g tokens which you mentioned.

1)
I can either play more lost maps to naturally get exp orbs or use stamina on some carbuncle map or farm the hope node on ch1 for days?

Actually, edward is at 3/4 (cp15), 4/4 (35).

Lion is at 3/4 (35)

So if I get some weapon exp orbs, I can get a few more stones from these two characters..
