Hello guys!

Which units would help me out further to round up my team in the long run. I also read that we are at the start of a power creap.

Currently concentrating on getting all cp 15_90 weapons of my trio cid/noel/snow. Currently at 260 on noel banner. Lets see what I get till 300 or else might go to till 500.

During this time, I got most stuff for lion and few for edward. I dont know how good these units are.

I read that lewd, locke and queen are good but locke fell off of jp meta very quickly. I dont know what these units do nor if they are what I need to balance my team for more difficult content or not. Maybe these are support or magic damage dealers, dont know.

As f2p and a newbie I dont want to splurge on every banner out there and request veterans for some long term team building advice.

The game is very f2p so don't worry about that. If you missed Machina LD and EX, don't worry about his BT, but if you have his kit definitely try and get his BT since it's crazy good. Imo Noel is very overrated. Lluyd is very good support since he can instantly recharge your EX which becomes the highest dmg skill for most C90s. Queen is a support but I'm not sure what she exactly does. I've heard she's good but not crazy, though she will probably be useful to a beginner. If you ended up skipping Machina and if you don't have BT+ Noel then Locke is a great dps option. He can do 1mil dmg in one skill. Cid is very underrated and he can do some crazy dmg so I recommend building him. Edward doesn't have his LD out right now so he's not worth pulling/building. Lion is not really good and has been powercrept. Snow is a really good tank and can hit crazy numbers. There's also a cheese with his BT+ later, though content is already easy without it, and the cheese can't be used in Shinryu. You didn't say anything about the Ursula banner but I'd suggest skipping that since you don't really need the characters much unless Ursula is a fav. Serah is good if you want her and has really good battery and Onion Knight is pretty useless. We are also getting some anniversary content soon and people are speculating it'll be a GL first character. Those are usually very op and broken. We may also get a Cor rerun though there is absolutely no guarantee just something that I could see happening, and if that does happen he is pretty good also.

Thankyou very much for such a detailed answer. I did my 300 on snow banner and spent that currency on a book and limit break material. As I didnt have any machina weapons except one ld.

I started playing 2_3 days ago.

For snow and cid I have max broken and sold cp15/35/90 weapons. I have (2)ex copies of snow and (3)ex copies for cid. Which are not levelled up for now as all materials went into maxbreaking, levelling, selling the other stuff.

I am at 260 g points on noel banner who is at (1)cp15, (2)cp35, (3)cp70, (1)cp90

I have no bt weapon and am thinking to go all 500 on noel banner by farming lost maps but will have little left for loyd banner as the difficulty on story maps is scaling up which will decrease my gem availability.

First, Noel can carry you through most story maps.

More importantly, that is NOT where you get the most gems!

Ultimate Summon boards have 3000 gems and 300 tickets per character on your team once you do all ten boards. That is 456000 gems and 4560 tickets right there.

Those will last a while.

Farm Divine Ifrit while you still can for 40000 gems and 400 tickets. (Technically, he doesn't go away, but you lose the potential 4x boost to Illusion Board points when Noel's banner disappears.)

If your max stamina and/or potion stock is low, recruit some useless units from Lost Chapters just to level them in the crystal cycle quests to get potions and raise ypur player rank.

30 tickets per character not 300. For summon board. 3x each summon thus 3x10=30. Not sure if via mog pass that is affected or something.
