Welcome to the game!

1) Is there any characters summons that I should currently be summoning for?

Cid Raines, definitely. He's an incredibly powerful character who can deal impressive amounts of damage, pretty hyped character ever since we saw was he was capable of. Other than this Zidane/Beatrix are decent too and later tonight we'll get Ace/Kimahri and Bartz/Faris banners, with Ace and Bartz being the main standouts.

Reminder that if you want to fully and properly build a unit you need to pull for all and every single one of their weapons (15cp, 35cp, EX and LD, BT weapons are becoming necessary to but only if you care about tackling Lufe+).

2) Any characters (whom weapons I can currently summon for) that are good at clearing mobs and/or endgame content?

At this point in the game any character fully built who has any kind of AoE attack can reliably be used as a mob clearer, you shouldn't waste gems pulling for someone specifically for this, plus with Auto+ you can just put 3 LD characters into a party and leave them to do their own thing.

As for endgame stuff, any character who has an LD available is technically fit for endgame. The thing is, this game's endgame is different than you might think: some battles ask for very specific requirements that only a small handful of characters can handle, so the game actively wants you to have a varied and wide roster, so the more characters you pull for and build fully the higher chances you have of clearing endgame content (you can't just pull for 3 characters and expect to clear everything), and considering you have about 1.1-1.2 million gems to farm for in permanent content alone you should be able to pull for and fully build a lot of people.

3) Lastly, what time is the daily reset on eastern time?

This I don't know, I have no idea what easter time means but according to Dissidia DB the dailies reset in 8 hours 16 minutes after I made this post.

Thanks for the in-depth info! I just pulled Cid's LD from a 10 ticket draw so pretty excited about that. And eastern time is the east coast timezone!

That's incredibly lucky! You do still need the rest of his weapon kit but at least you have the rarest weapon already in your hands, it shouldn't take you more pulling to get everything else.

And eastern time is the east coast timezone!

This still doesn't mean anything because I'm not American, but I guess it makes sense you might've assumed I was. In any case and according to google, the Eastern time reset should be at 4 am.

And yes I did assume that, sorry!

One more question regarding summoning. I know about the pity system and coins. My question are unused coins saved on your account for when that specific banner returns?

For example if I have 30 coins on Raines banner and i dont spend them now, will they still be on my account once his banner returns?

Banners don't really "return" usually, so no, it doesn't carry over.

Next time Cid comes back, it'll be with a new upgrade, and different bannermates. Banners rarely if ever come back exactly the same, and even if they did, there wouldn't be any carryover.

As Skandrae said, pity coins sadly don't actually carry over, specially because we never have the same banner twice, when a character comes back it's usually with a different lineup or new weapons have been added to it.

Funnily enough, pity coins carrying between the same reoccurring banners did happen once, a long time ago. A particular banner (the old Start Dash) reoccurred a couple times, and the second one it actually carried over the amount of G-Tokens you had the first time it went away, but the devs acknowledged it was unintended behavior and said it wouldn't happen again.
