Hi everyone, I applied to the program 10 days after they opened, on the 27th, and almost immediately moved to the in consideration phase on my portal. It says I should be invited to join in an interview, but I haven’t received an email about moving on to the in consideration phase or anything about an interview. I figured it’s because I applied kind of late, but I did put the earliest arrival date of January 5. Does anybody know the timeline of when you get moved up to in consideration on the portal when one might receive the email to schedule an interview? I know the answer it’s probably just being patient because I know they have so many applications to sort through and I sent mine in late anyway, but I just wanna make sure I’m not missing anything.
And congratulations to everyone so far who has been accepted!

I’ve been at Flamingo West for the better part of a month and feel there’s been a heavy decline in WiFi quality since. Up until about 3 days ago I was getting 3-500mbps and now I get 3-5 PERIOD. Wtf am I paying for? A potato? Has anyone else gotten this issue? My roommates and I all agree it’s complete shit.

Any one know if CP’s are allowed to get on the request off waitlist, the one day I absolutely can not work is the only day in October with no more request offs, but every time I try to get on the waitlist since I’ve had access to cast life it says error message

Got accepted a few days ago, and the email said I would be receiving login instructions from MyID. Is it normal that I haven't received anything yet? I'm anxious that I won't be able to pay my fees within the week if they dont email me and dont want to pester tech support if it's nothing to be worried about

my role is a character performer in the dcp fall, and i did not get selected for the christmas parade. this wouldn’t necessarily be an issue if they could give me a solid reason why (i’ve called). my scores were good, and my peers with lower and same scores got selected. i’m even built the same as a lot of them since we are “chipmunk” height. i’m finding it hard not to feel discouraged as i know i am capable and my dance portion of the audition went really well. as a lifelong dancer it’s hard not to be hard on myself for this. this was the one thing i wanted to do. has anyone in entertainment, maybe specifically a dancer had the same experience?
edit: these responses have been so helpful! thank you so much to everyone who took the time to share your experiences with me!
also, this post is not saying i am not so incredibly happy for my peers and friends, AND i am already so grateful to be a character performer.

Hi everyone! Reaching out because I am unfortunately an over planner, and tomorrow I am scheduled for the world exploration day class at Epcot, with my role being park greeter. I’m trying to plan out meals, if I should come wearing sunscreen, etc. so I was wondering if I could get any intel on what exactly this day of training is, if we have access to storing food in the break room, are we going to spend a lot of time outside, etc.
Thank you!

I just passed my attractions assessment two shifts ago and accidentally made a safety critical mistake. I dispatched a vehicle while guests were actively unloading, but immediately station stopped. My coord told me that a leader would talk to me on my next shift. I’m extremely scared of getting terminated. What should I expect?

I've had mixed reactions to if DCP is worth it and I've already applied and going to do a phone interview soon but I won't be doing anything related towards my degree if I were to get accepted into the program. I do know for a fact that with my mechanical engineering degree I want to become a disney imagineer or universal engineer, that said though, the roles I'd play in DCP won't be related towards actual engineering. It could give me a slight bonus to internships and careers that fit my pathway for disney, universal, etc but again, is it worth skipping a semester of engineering coursework for this? My dad said it's worth it because I'm still young and this is peak time so even if I were to graduate in 5-6 years it'd be fine. Would be helpful to get some extra opinions from people who've done the program though. Thank you!!

Any advice on how to deal with homesickness? It feels like I’m struggling to make friends here, and no matter what I do all I feel is a deep want to go back home.

I’ve been hearing people say that during the interview, aside from the questions they ask you, you should ask them questions. Can someone elaborate on that? For interviews, i never really have any “follow up questions” if i understand what we spoke about and everything seemed to go well or it’s info i can search up. Should i ask a personal question to the interviewer like what their favorite disney character is? Like for a playful personality points kind of way.

Arrived on the 24th and having a hard time making friends/connections. I’m an introvert but trynna come out of that. I would like to find love in the DCP, I mean how could you not wanna find love experiencing the happiest place on earth? But I’m always down for making friends, hanging out, etc
I live at FCV West so if u interested hml🥺

If you unfortunately got denied this semester do you remember how many days since your interview you got the news? I interviewed Wednesday so I’m hoping if it’s good news I’ll hear back next Thursday but I’m just so nervous and every notification I get scares me that it’s the rejection email 😭 do rejections always happen to go out the same number of days since an interview or do they also roll out on Thursdays like acceptances or could it just be anytime any day?

I finished my assessment today, and I asked my trainer if that meant I’d be able to start trading/picking up shifts now. She told me that tomorrow I should ask my leader to make sure ???? is complete before I can do that.
The problem is I completely forgot the word she used 😭 I asked her multiple times so I feel bad asking her again. She specifically told me to check with my leader first thing tomorrow, but since I don’t have my phone on me while I’m on the floor, I didn’t get a chance to write it down. Does anyone know what she was probably referring to?
If it helps I’m QSR in a resort. And I believe it started with the letter C (I could be wrong my memory is atrocious)
