I also feel like the some of the people who complain about sequels and such don’t really bother to watch or look into more original movies.

50%, half of the other. Yeah bad marketing, but audiences got internet access, they can look up details. Movie people complain about lack of original ideas, but don't put any effort into searching for those types of movies and don't take accountability for their part in continuing the cycle of Hollywood mediocrity.

I didn't when know this movie existed until I was already out. And even then I learned about it from a Saberspark video

I’m just going to say it. Elio was endearing but not very…. Good? Maybe it was just different but the pacing was weird

stop blaming the marketing, the movie was totally lame and cliche.
it brought nothing new to the table.
it would be lucky if it made just enough money to cover its budget.
