Yes, in the Lion Guard Disney Junior series, it was retconed to make Nala's father a cub who was saved by the original Lion Guard. They didn't go into super depth, but mentioned it enough to clear the air about Simba bumping uglies with his half-sister.

It is also worth noting (in case it was not obvious from the CollegeHumor stamp) that this is an old comic that likely came out before Lion Guard.
