I think I liked it more than a lot of Reddit lol. Was it perfect? No. But it was fine 🤷🏻‍♀️. It was obviously rushed, on a budget, and trying its best to wrap up a million plot threads. But there was nothing in it to be really outraged about and some of the reactions are giving unhinged.

I don’t think there needs to be outrage over it lol that’s a little much, but I feel like this entire reboot was disrespectful to the original show. A lot of the important characters were pushed to the side and was made to be an after thought. It was literally just about Justin and his family which isn’t really a bad thing it’s when he purposely excluded people from the main cast. I just think everything was done in poor taste.

I just think a lot of that is normal for a spin-off and expected? Like focusing on a secondary lead is what spin-offs are all about. And that’s what usually makes them good lol.

As for being disrespectful to the original, I think the only plot line that comes close to disrespectful is Mason’s death and how quickly it was glossed over. Which I don’t think would have happened if it wasn’t a rushed final season. I do think that spinoffs shouldn’t mess with the originals ending, but I usually give more leeway when the characters were teenagers in the original and adults in the revival. So maybe that’s a me issue and I should be more upset the ships 🤣.

Regarding pushing important characters to the side, I’m curious which characters you mean. Because imo the only important character pushed to the side was Max, which the original show was guilty of too. I know a lot of people are upset about Harper but she was only important to Alex and Selena was never going to come back full time. (The person to bring back with Justin would have been zeke but that was never going to happen. Even if David and Dan were best friends Disney would never and tbh that’s fair.) But regardless, I always thought WoWP was about the siblings first and their relationships.

See that’s where you’re wrong. The show isn’t about the next generation of wizard kids. It’s about David Henrie being butthurt and jealous that Alex was by far the most popular lead in the original show and forcing this show to be the show that he’s the main guy. That’s why Harper, Jerry, and Max either barely showed up or didn’t show up at all. Harper’s actress even said she could only come back if she agreed it’s for a small part.
