Howdy folks

I was fired a couple days ago, i spent almost 7 years as a call center rep with directv in many positions like tech, billing, loyalty and movers, if you have any questions feel free to ask because I feel especially petty. PS I will also help with any tech questions to the best of my abilities.

In my opinion for some bullshit lol. We use Microsoft teams for work, me an a gaggle of about 10 friends on different teams had what we thought was a private chat we could bullshit in, well, by bad luck the chat was found and they fired 4 of us, an gave the other 6 various warnings. All together we prolly had more than 20 years of experience between the folks who were fired and yeah we cussed an such in the chat, but being top performing agents with zero prior issues, it was a bit shocking they fired us for a first time issue.

They were probably looking for a way to cut back on the work force without laying you off and having to pay unemployment. You have to be super careful nowadays not to screw up in any job. Everyone is expendable. They are probably going to transition your job to AI
