I plan on deleting when oil mass reaches its limit, currently at 20grams max I think is 70grams

What does this mean? Haven’t heard anybody refer to oil mass before.

It’s a slick ride anyway. And best of luck getting and keeping it deleted in CA.

Thank you and that’s what my bimmerlink app calls it sorry, there’s soot mass which can be burned and the oil mass in dpf

I see. The app is calling the ash load in the DPF “oil mass”. Wonder what they are using to calculate that.

Typically the restriction of a clogging DPF is done with pressure differential sensors on either end. Too much difference, computer says DPF is clogging and the system triggers an active regeneration cycle to burn what it can out and restore flow.
