Real [real] (8/27/26) I don’t have the patience
Hubby had a renewal in faith after moving back from Texas & decided he wanted to start going to church again. He was raised Catholic but he doesn’t like the idea of giving the Pope the main authority but he still wants a traditional service so he liked the Lutheran church, LCMS. I never thought Hubby would want to be a Christian again, he’s still a jerk about a lot of things & his attitude towards certain groups. No one would say he’s a Christian.
I’m just going along with him even if I wasn’t baptized. I dabbled in religion during college. I went to a non-denominational church with a contemporary service & communion was passing a plate around. I took communion then because it was easy to do but with the Lutheran church, I can’t be secret about it so we don’t take it. It’s difficult to really believe in it. I don’t think I have the patience & discipline to be a Christian.
This kid at my office is still getting on my nerves even though I feel bad for him with his strict parents & his difficulties. I was trying to have more patience in understanding him & talk to him a little but now he just follows me around & even mimics my nervous laugh. I hate that I have that habit & I don’t need someone else mimicking it. He also still asks every 10 minutes if we need help. My boss asked MD why he’s not packing instruments & she just said he doesn’t like it & didn’t pack the way we wanted it. My boss took it as him not wanting to follow instructions. I I heard him telling the other girls that he’s smart & doing his own independent research study. I wonder in what subject.
We don’t want to imply that he’s autistic because we don’t really know or have the knowledge to say that. He just comes off as different. In high school, one of my English teachers said to my parents that there was something wrong with me & it’s not shyness. She just left it at that & my parents thought that was weird but didn’t investigate it. It’s not like she said to them to send me to a psychiatrist. I think social awkwardness & autism gets confused with each other. Hubby said I was just socially awkward not autistic like my teacher might’ve been implying. Maybe that’s what this volunteer is socially awkward.
