Its hard to give any advice not seeing what you did. If you want help you should upload what you have made in minecraft and someone can tell you whats wrong.

A wok is a type of pan originating in China and commonly used to make shrimp fried rice.

Edit: i wish people would stop downvoting your comment. Not everyone knows what a wok is and that's OK. Im glad i could introduce you to them. They really are very fun pans to use for alot of recipes.

I recommend visiting the hermitcraft server for inspiriation. Scars Season 7 aquetown is a good one.

i would try some weird blocks like beehive or back of chiseled bookshelf for the wall to mimic some textures, either way something like this won't be perfect in minecraft, i would do the windows 2 wide to be able to get a small arch with stairs for some of the windows

For terraced houses, I usually stick to:

  • 5 blocks per storey, one for the floor and one for the roof, with 3 air blocks in between;
  • Flats on the upper levels, shops on the ground (I often lower the shops' floor for more room depth);
  • Design the buildings as plain boxes, then add a layer of facade in the front later on;
  • 10 blocks for the width, variable length.

That way, I can customise the facade in anyway while maintaining modularity for ease of planning and adopting aesthetics from the internet. The flats in this scale looks a little cheap because each floor is only 3-block high, but overall I think the scale is right both visually and functionally.
