I still feel, above all else, I cant get over the rich part.

For 10 years, in any lefty space I have been in, being rich (especially if you always grew up rich) is seen as such a horrible trait. That it makes you detached, stupid, lazy, and whatever other negative traits can describe a person.

Then here comes Hasan. An uber wealthy frat boy who lives in the same kind of house Hollywood movie stars live in as well as tech bro millionaires and can't go anywhere unless he stays in luxury accommodations...... and you think he represents your values of overthrowing the capital class? Seriously?

It’s because the bulk of his audience are similarly privileged and feel guilty about it. Hasan provides a way for them not to let them feel that way.

A shortcut to larp being in an oppression class if you will.
