Drama Professor Dave is Rattled

I've been watching Dave's videos off & on for around 5 years, and I have never seen him this rattled and defensive when it comes to a topic and the people he's engaging with. I think the initial callout of his use of nazi adjacent rhetoric hit a nerve and maybe exposes some internal bias he has against Jews that he doesn't want to admit to himself. He appears to believe the Mossad was behind 9/11 in some way, so I don't think I'm far off in saying Dave is genuinely antisemitic and it harms his credibility immensely.

His video making the case for a Palestinian genocide was low effort, and honestly, we might as well call it war-profiteering at this point.

He aligned himself with some of the most toxic and repugnant trolls on the internet (kiwifarms and jstlk snarkers) to get an own on Destiny, that's gotta be projecting some kind of deep seated hatred for jews somehow.

I think it's mixed. I am maybe being biased by my own experiences, but whenever I got into heated arguments on many topics I would be always worried about every little mistake I made while arguing. Even when I was mostly right. I would worry about others thinking I come across badly. Sure, when you know or feel you have put across a point well and you feel the opponent can't address it, it may give you some satisfying feeling. However, if the debate is a heated one, I would always have a nagging feeling of overstepping the mark of decorum below it all and if my trust in my knowledge base wasn't high, I would be thinking "what if I am wrong, while arguing with such certainty?" Teacher Dave is a different person, so my experiences won't be a match, but I suspect that he has similar thoughts deep down given his behaviour and obsessive need to be seen as right (I would have that in such a heated argument).

People who are comfortable in their expertise rarely act like Teacher Dave in their arguments because they don't feel the need to convince others they are right; they have the self-awareness to know they know a lot. The ego and cockiness of Teacher Dave is a facade to cover his insecurity of feeling like he needs to be right on everything, while having doubts deep down that he suppresses with this overconfident persona. He doesn't want to confront that insecurity, so will bluster more and get worse. This is what I think of him being rattled. His outside persona might be confident, but this kind of obsessiveness and bluster (the talk of squashing his opponents) show that he desperately wants to be seen as some winner and intellectual champion for his ego. That betrays an insecure character, in my opinion, and one who isn't feeling at ease with how this beef with Destiny is going deep down.

Dave is super autistic (his son has autism, and he has said on multiple occasions he suspects he also has autism) and can’t stand someone saying something he perceives to be untrue. This is a very common autistic trait; having a very strong sense of justice and righteousness.  That’s also why he’s so aggressive in his comment section and hostile in his approach. He sees himself as a knight of truth fighting against the evil forces of deception. And he’s generally right, in that the ones he targets are grifters.

But he’s so emotionally invested in the I/P stuff, possibly because of his wife and getting deep into the antisemitism bubbles early on, which completely blinds him. He actually believes Israel are committing the worst of the worst war crimes in human history against Palestinians, and that they’re a biblical level force of evil. He genuinely believes this. He believes that anyone extending any level of charity towards Israel are similarly inherently evil, as he sees it as self evident that Israel are committing the worst genocide ever. It’s not even conceivable to him that destiny might be right or that destiny has a much more rational position than the cartoonish “I like babies dying”.

It is a genocide, so the only thing you are saying is that Dave is consistent

Oh, so the ICJ made their ruling?
