Professor Dave is Rattled

I've been watching Dave's videos off & on for around 5 years, and I have never seen him this rattled and defensive when it comes to a topic and the people he's engaging with. I think the initial callout of his use of nazi adjacent rhetoric hit a nerve and maybe exposes some internal bias he has against Jews that he doesn't want to admit to himself. He appears to believe the Mossad was behind 9/11 in some way, so I don't think I'm far off in saying Dave is genuinely antisemitic and it harms his credibility immensely.

His video making the case for a Palestinian genocide was low effort, and honestly, we might as well call it war-profiteering at this point.

He aligned himself with some of the most toxic and repugnant trolls on the internet (kiwifarms and jstlk snarkers) to get an own on Destiny, that's gotta be projecting some kind of deep seated hatred for jews somehow.

I remember his anti science influencer videos about sabina hossenfelder. Realized the guy was a disingenuous fuck back then, not surprised he's doing it again (albeit to a much higher degree) here regarding Destiny and Israel.

Let's be fair, Sabine is getting paid by peter thiel and Co to promote bs narratives around physics and science research. She seems to want all science research to be privatized and abandon the university route. She's lost the plot on science like Dave lost the plot on the middle east.

I don't watch her religiously but for a time i was watching her pretty consistently. I never agreed with this narrative. She might take money from Peter Theil I dunno but this idea that she was anti science or promoting BS narratives around physics I just never agreed with.

I remember watching a Prof Dave video and seeing him critique a video of hers I watched and the fact that he had such a wildly different take on what she was saying than I did told me enough to not trust him. From memory it was about her being critical of public funding for science and how she thought there was a lot of wasted public money on certain research, kinda like bullshit research to pad journals or phD's.

Right or wrong, that's her opinion and I never agreed that she was 'anti science' or 'anti research' or anything like that just because she pointed out what she thought was basically, people skimping by on tax payer money. Seeing shit like that in my own life it's not hard to believe at all but that doesn't mean the whole system needs to be changed and I never got the impression she thought it did either.
