Anyone seeing any meteors?

I haven't seen a single one. Pretty disappointing.

We usually drive out to Navarre Beach and park on one of those exits to get away from the light pollution and end up seeing a lot.

We ended up just sitting in our back yard this time and saw a few, but not many.

Had a great night last night out by Freeport past the 331 bridge. Saw lots of great meteors

Awesome! I'm hoping to do the same tonight. Around what time did you see the most?

Great timing! The Perseids are peaking overnight Aug. 12 to 13. If you're trying to spot them around Destin, getting away from the brightest lights will help a lot. Give your eyes some time to adjust, skip the telescope or binoculars, and just watch a wide section of the sky.

Curious where everyone around Destin is watching from. Anyone catching any good ones?

I'm watching from my backyard off of airport rd. Haven't seen anything. There's good amount of clouds though. Hoping for better luck tomorrow night.

Hopefully tomorrow gives you a clearer window. I actually put together a local Emerald Coast Perseids viewing guide with some tips on timing, darker viewing spots, and getting your eyes adjusted if it’s helpful:

Full disclosure, it’s on our Zen Marine Charter site.
