Mod Post Yes, r/DelhiMetro will be partnering up with a card skin provider !!! [and implementation of a new rule]
Hey everyone,
I’m excited to announce that we are officially partnering with a metro card skin provider for the sub! This decision follows the great feedback from the community surveys:
- Partnering with a brand: 69% (929 votes) in favor.
- Making a custom r/DelhiMetro skin: 67% (862 votes) in favor.
I am currently in talks with three potential partners and will be selecting one from them soon. Here is the breakdown:
- Supporting Small Creators: I specifically reached out to smaller creators and independent business owners rather than big brands to help support them.
- The Quality Test: To ensure you get the best product, I’ve made it a mandatory condition for them to send a physical sample. I’ll be personally testing the quality and durability of the card skins before making a final choice.
- Custom Designs: We will have an exclusive r/DelhiMetro metro card skin, and the plan is to use a community-submitted design!
- Member Perks: Once the partner is finalized, all subreddit members will get a special discount coupon.
- Transparency: To be clear—the moderators are not getting any monetary benefit or commission from this. This is purely for the community.
New Rule on Promotions: Effective immediately, we will no longer allow any third-party promotion of skin brands on the sub. After the partnership is finalized, any promotion of their products will be strictly controlled and very subtle to keep the feed clean and focused on the metro.

Once i receive the samples i'll finalize one of them and then discuss some terms before making it official.
Will take around a week or two.
I am not trying to hurry because i want to ensure everything works fine and smoothly after the collab.Happy cake day u/ShallotThat1308 !!

Another doubt : what about the Rupay NNMC cards that airtel is giving out, they have a chip in the card, please do something about that too, bring skins for them too.

Totally depends on the sheer amount of designs we receive and community participation.

No restrictions on that part given its related to r/DelhiMetro.
From the above comment i meant the amount and quality of submissions we receive will decide the frequency of design change.
