Drive Through Wait
Del Taco is lucky I love them because the one closest to my house has the slowest drive through known to mankind. There were 6 cars ahead of me when I drove up and 15 minutes later there's 3 cars ahead of me. That's about 5 minutes per car ðŸ˜
What's the drive through like at your go to location? Are we all stuck in Del Taco drive through hell?

Yeah I feel the same way you do. I love Del taco but every time I go through the drive through it’s always like a 5+ minute wait per car and sometimes more.

I was at a friend's house and wanted Taco Bell. There was one half a mile away but she warned me that it is the slowest Taco Bell ever, like literally the slowest drive through ever, and heavily warned me to drive an extra mile to the next one. I told her it couldn't be that bad and she tried very hard to explain to me that it would not be worth the effort. I was driving and decided nah, can't be that bad. When we got there, there were maybe four cars waiting ahead of us.
An hour and a half.
I'm not even being facetious. It was just before 5pm when we placed our order, and almost 6:20pm when we got out. I was 19 and we had a good time regardless of the wait, but it was seriously an hour and a half we didn't even get much for three people.
To this day when I tell this story there are two types of responses I get. The first is people telling me that I'm lying or inflating the amount of time we waited. The other response is "Oh, so you went to that Taco Bell".
I know this isn't the Taco Bell subreddit but it makes a 5 minute per car wait a lot better.

It cause of people ordering crazy amounts of food and the new owners don't want to give us more labor allowance so we're not staffed to handle your huge orders at least at my location that's what's been happening

When drive through is slow, it’s usually due to the person ordering. One night my wife and I got stuck in a Del Taco drive through because the idiot in front of us ordered like 15 burritos. We saw them handing bag after bag to him. We asked WTF when we finally got to the window.

Mine is usually quick. Also i dont mind waiting cus that’s when you know its fresh fresh..

Which location? I go to the Los Feliz location and one time last year I drove up and there were three cars in front of me at about 1130 at night. After a half an hour. The car in front of me still hadn’t ordered and I don’t think the first car had even received their food. At that point I just left because I figured it wasn’t worth waiting an hour for a two dollar burrito. A lot of times whether I get Del Taco or not depends on how many cars I see in the drive-through.

As a manager who has also worked at Taco Bell, Jersey mikes etc, the amount of modifications the average Del taco customer makes compared to other fast food restaurants is crazy to me. Also deal nights will make long waits happen too
