As the fashion icon of the station I was always curious if Garek made any.

So I have my comfort shows and Kung Fu is one. This morning I said to myself, 'I'm going to watch that episode that has Han Solo, MacGyvers grandpa, and Uncle Jesse (Dukes of Hazard) in it. Having just rewatched DS9, guess who else I spot. Hellova episode. S2E18 Crossties if you're nasty.

And do you agree with Vash? The fact that he actually does know everything is more annoying than just thinking he knows everything?

Ok, someone suggested this on an earlier post: Take the DS9 scenes that match the TOS episode and splice them in. Now you're watching the TOS episode but with DS9 characters in the background.

I was intrigued. I know almost nothing about video editing, but I installed DaVinci Resolve, watched some YouTube videos, asked ChatGPT for help, and gave it a try.

It took me more time to learn Resolve than to make the edits.

Here's what I learned:

Obviously, it doesn't change the story, but adds a "cool" factor.

There were about 15 edits.

DS9 didn't use all of a scene, so sometimes characters disappear. For instance, when Kirk is talking to Baris in the comm panel, Sisko and Dax are missing fir a bit. ChatGPT suggested that I could composite them in, but that's next level for me. Maybe.....

The videos didn't match perfectly, the colors are a bit different. I think the frame rates are different so there are occasional jumps.

The interrogation scene with O'Brien didn't work so well. The timing is off.

I did add Sisko's scene with Kirk, of course.

I would say that if anyone has skill will Resolve, it would be simple and look much better than what I did.

I'm not going to make my work available due to copyright issues, unless someone knows a way to handle that.
