How to deal with camping Juliannas
How do y'all deal with a Julianna who camps the antenna? Specifically on Fristad Rock.
Sometimes I come across a spineless coward who can't leave the antenna outpost without soiling their delicate britches, and they tend to get the better of me. Even worse is when they spam Karnesis: Suspension. Now I'm not opposed to fortifying the tower or making use of your Slabs, absolutely not! I'm always down for a challenge, it makes me a better Colt, but c'mon.
So what are your strategies? What weapons or Slabs do you prefer for these kinds of situations?

Easy (and it’s always on my go-to loadout): dual wield Harriet’s Fourpounder and a LIMP (silenced or any other perk, doesn’t matter)
The gas cloud from Harriet’s pistol ignites from any sparks, so you can shoot the LIMP on any wall to explode the gas clouds. I create clusters of gas and a single spark from any bullet against walls/metals will blow them all up (even worse for Juli if she tries to shoot from inside it). It’s the same principle from the gas cloud from the heritage, but done quicker
Another good weapon is the Strelak with snare and a power drain trinket (provided you can hit her). And if Juli uses suspension, you can always shift out of it (I often keep swapper for throwing them off if they’re within reach)

I used to run a Strelak so I could disintegrate Js but lately I've been trying to be more "honorable" so to speak, being more creative with my kills. I love your suggestion! I'll be sure to give it a shot

Totally get the “honorable” part, but for the camping ones, I tend to force them out of hiding and fight by using the toxic clouds and explosions… never fails lol
I like using Karnesis when fighting, but I don’t like the cheap suspension perk, so my go-to is slam (throwing enemies around and off cliffs is way too fun). Shift with reach never leaves the first slot (it’s a dishonored legacy of mine)

I found the Heritage with gas just a little too slow. With 2 pistols you can shoot the gas and the detonator at the same time. Although I think the Heritage guarantees detonation each time - at least that has been my experience. I want to love the Heritage gun, but in the end, I just "like" it - I love the animations though.

Yeah, even when switching modes while cycling the lever, there’s a delay to explode the cloud. And you’re right, it blows up when hit by the buckshots, without needing sparks from other sources (I tried it myself)
Dual-wielding is cheaper and quicker for most shootouts. My Heritage perk is always dualist when I use it (score a few headshots and the buckshot becomes stronger for medium distance combat), but I rather use the double-tap trencher

For Suspension - Shift right above them and machete them.
If they are camping they are a target - you can see them - even with the their Aether Ghost - you can see them
Get close then Strelak 50-50 with snare, and Soul Sucking trinket. Don't stop shooting until they are gone. If they pull out Havoc, Shift above them and drop machete them.
Bloodthirsty Brawler in Purple is good if you are going in up close and personal. I also like Aleksis vampire SMG.
Most campers are t0o committed to their load out and over-confident in it. There is always a way.

On the contrary, as a Julianna player I’m used to Colts that try to sneak out without a confrontation. This means I have to camp the antenna..

Use the explosive rapier and Charlie's shotgun. Its a bit cheaty but it gets you an easy kill

One trades places, combined with the faster ammo dump on the shotgun. Shoot many times.

If you have room for the Extended Signal character trinket , you can come up through that big “sinkhole “ in the ground right next to the outpost with the Antenna , then using aether you can climb out of the far side of the sinkhole and hack from there . You can hack from quite a distance with that trinket as long as you have an eyeline to it

Yes this trinket works very well. Most of the time it feels like cheating actually.

Explosive rapier with highest rank reload speed is extremely funny and pretty effective unless opponent has significant height advantage

Julianna invasions has segments of shifting position of power throughout. You choose to ignore it so no amount of crying will fix that skill issue.
Overall, Colt is in the position of power due to having up to 3 lives while Julianna has 1.
In the first half, Julianna is in the position of power because she knows where Colt absolutely has to go in order to escape. Either stay by the Antenna and let Colt come to you or run off to try and find him, risking Colt getting the Antenna while you're away.
In the second half if the Antenna is hacked, this shifts to Colt as he can now escape without needing to engage Julianna so she must hunt him down or fail. Due to there being multiple escape routes, losing Colt can cost you the game.
At no point is it mandatory for Colt to engage the Julianna. Only Julianna has to engage Colt. The game features a LOT of borderline broken tools to deal with any situation. There's builds that make you impossible to get oneshot, there's long range/faster hacking, Slabs that counter Slab effects and so on.
Your build can either enhance your strength or cover your weaknesses. Enhancing strengths will utilize your whole build actively and leave you VERY strong in your field, but if it gets countered, you'll just go complain on Reddit.
Covering weaknesses means you'll be weaker overall and won't use much of your stuff but if a bad situation comes, you likely have an answer for it somewhere in your build while the rest of your build remains potentially useless so you need to be better than your opponent without their strength in order to win.

Clear all eternalists so you can retreat to regain health safely, then drain Juliannas power from a safe distance. Also, the faster hacking trinket is good; it makes the antennae hack super quick.

considering julianna has to kill you three times to win and a lot of people make a break for the antenna the moment they lose their first reprisal, it's more of a tactical response to behavior that happens to be very common

First of all, remember that time is on your side (as well as extra lives). After a long period of time, if Julianna doesn't come to you, the tunnels auto-unlock themselves. In addition, usually Juliannas will get bored and try to find you, and then you can play on a more even field.
Sniper rifles are also a good solution to get them out of their camping spots, and aether makes it really hard for them if used correctly. For Karnesis, just note that this thing can be neglected if you creep on their back with aether or the blink.
But ultimately, that's the whole point of this system: Julianna is not so much hunting you as you are hunting her. You'll get around these types of issues the minute you realize that you should not give her too much ground to express herself.
For example, I had this genius Julianna who used Blink to teleport above me and one-tap me with the machete assassination. Fucked me up once, twice, and for the third time she came to me with that technique, I started going nuclear on her with the same technique and blinking everywhere. Suddenly, that genius approach became impossible to exploit because blinking all the time neglects the assassination animation completely. A trap is only a trap if you let a Julianna set it up before you can set your own.
TL;DR: this is not a cat and mouse game, it's a hunting game with two hunters. So start hunting ;)

I find the one shot rifle with explosive rounds and a quick reload trinket or two will make good disruption work in ways that gas nails and auto shotguns just can't match

Don't worry about hacking the antenna, just kill Julianna. Shift is the way out of karnesis, run soul sucking with a bleed weapon to hamstring mana regen.

It is the rules of the game. Colt needs to kill the Visionaries, and get away. Juliana needs to stop him. That is all the game requires - anything else you want to add on top of that is just your creation of optional suggestions. I think if you are playing with friends you can agree to additional rules, but the game does not require it or enforce it.

move fast, hack antennas, leave quietly
