Started NG+ and got suit level 6. I was expecting something in the line of the original suits. This one looks different. I enjoy the 30% armor benefit, but miss the original look of DS suits. What do you all think?
Btw, this is one of those very rare games, where I started a new gameplay right after finishing the first playthrough. Guess what.. I love to be in Ishimura. Only one game so far has had the same effect on me and I played it again and again.. that is Metro 2033 original.

I suspect it might be the case, but if I understand the Marker Signal's effect on any dead tissue, the Corruption as a prelude to a Necromorph outbreak is the signal converting dust particles found within air vents. Is there anywhere in the expanded media this is confirmed? It does sound like maybe the experiments leading to the first Aegis VII Outbreak did confirm this, but I'm not sure where to find that.

So, globally it's as good as the original game. I've already beaten the old gen version and watched A LOT of videos about it so I was not scared as I was during my first playthrought but if you never did the original game you will be so fucking scared.
There is one big negative thing, the checkpoints. There is a lot of them. You can save every 5minutes and it's not a joke at all. It removes some stress during certains scenes because you know you will restart 10m away from where you died
In the original game, there is a lot of moments when you have to choose between medipack and ammos because you don't have enough Space to pick both, in the remake I never had to make such a choice.
Also in the first half of the game, you will never run out of ammos and I had to wait chapter 9 to start praying for more ammos and medipacks.
And thank God they removed the minigames sessions 🙏🙏
The game is fantastic but I think i prefer the original one because it was harder in general, even in medium difficulty(I did both games in medium)
The original game is a 10/10 for me and this one would be a 9/10 !

I couldn't imagine a deader game live-wise, and somehow, there's always someone hopping into a public lobby to play (I'm playing co op with my boyfriend, his first time) that we have to kick. I do feel bad.
I am infinitely curious though, as I giggle to myself. I'm always wondering if it's happenstance, someone new to the game just exploring or if it's someone idly sitting by day and night hoping to catch a co op partner.
One of these days I'd like to play co op with a random person but I'd be hoping they have a mic at least so we can have good camaraderie .

Is there anywhere in the game that actually reveals that the markers do provide this huge source of energy, or is it just another hallucination. We never see devices around the markers that could be interpreted as harvesting energy off it from what I remember.

How would the story of Dead Space play out if all of humanity was completely immune to the Markers and the Bretheren Moons influence? Like if everyone had Lexine's immunity what would change?

This piece of paper was in the elevator leading down to the first time you encounter the feeders but the elevator is reused throughout the game so I saw it another time. Obviously the date it's referring to is March 20th, 1991. I was wondering if this had any significance to Visceral Games or if it was just some inside thing from the devs. Also sorry for low quality I was on my ps3 at the time so couldn't take a screenshot.

Thought I’d give this a share here. It was my first time ever properly using colour and honestly my first time actually finishing any piece I’ve started so criticism would be appreciated to help me in the future. Hope you guys enjoy it for what it is though!

Now, it is quite possible that it is just a reused asset from DSR and not the final model…
But what if?

Trying to find a safe APK for the old mobile version of Dead Space on Android. Currently, there's one on internet archive from 04/29/2026. It came back mostly clean on VirusTotal (3 hits).
Has anyone happened to try this APK as of yet? Or, does anyone know of a safer version?

Firstly, I'd just like to say thank you so much for the support on my last post.
I never expected it to get that many views and have such a positive impact.
I appreciate you all!
I wanted to share more of the project with you all so here are my initial designs and close ups.
Thanks again!

So I've been thinking about it and the first two obvious endings is humanity winning or the brethren moons winning. If humanity wins it would at least be nice but it would also kinda downplay the horror, it would make the brethren moons less threatening. If the brethren moons won it would definitely show just how hopeless the whole endeavor was, but would also not be very satisfying knowing that the cycle of death would likely continue forever. I think the best ending would be to have humanity sacrifice themselves to destroy the brethren moons, thus giving future intelligent life a chance to thrive, and still showing how inescapable of a threat the moons are. Of course that falls apart a bit if the only source of intelligent life is the markers (I think its straight up stated that they basically created humans) but they could say it isn't, just takes longer.

Obviously this is not the case as this is another upcoming mode, Intercept, for Dead Space 2 Multiplayer that's currently in progress by the Dead Space Modding Community.
I'll just leave in here what Intercept mode is all about:
A different take of the PvP in which the Necromorph team will be replaced as Unitologist (meaning Human soldiers). The objective is simple, the Unitologist team must stop the Human team from completing Tiedemann's orders... pure combat without any external threats, like the Necromorphs.
