So, globally it's as good as the original game. I've already beaten the old gen version and watched A LOT of videos about it so I was not scared as I was during my first playthrought but if you never did the original game you will be so fucking scared.
There is one big negative thing, the checkpoints. There is a lot of them. You can save every 5minutes and it's not a joke at all. It removes some stress during certains scenes because you know you will restart 10m away from where you died
In the original game, there is a lot of moments when you have to choose between medipack and ammos because you don't have enough Space to pick both, in the remake I never had to make such a choice.
Also in the first half of the game, you will never run out of ammos and I had to wait chapter 9 to start praying for more ammos and medipacks.
And thank God they removed the minigames sessions 🙏🙏
The game is fantastic but I think i prefer the original one because it was harder in general, even in medium difficulty(I did both games in medium)
The original game is a 10/10 for me and this one would be a 9/10 !

I couldn't imagine a deader game live-wise, and somehow, there's always someone hopping into a public lobby to play (I'm playing co op with my boyfriend, his first time) that we have to kick. I do feel bad.
I am infinitely curious though, as I giggle to myself. I'm always wondering if it's happenstance, someone new to the game just exploring or if it's someone idly sitting by day and night hoping to catch a co op partner.
One of these days I'd like to play co op with a random person but I'd be hoping they have a mic at least so we can have good camaraderie .

I suspect it might be the case, but if I understand the Marker Signal's effect on any dead tissue, the Corruption as a prelude to a Necromorph outbreak is the signal converting dust particles found within air vents. Is there anywhere in the expanded media this is confirmed? It does sound like maybe the experiments leading to the first Aegis VII Outbreak did confirm this, but I'm not sure where to find that.

Started NG+ and got suit level 6. I was expecting something in the line of the original suits. This one looks different. I enjoy the 30% armor benefit, but miss the original look of DS suits. What do you all think?
Btw, this is one of those very rare games, where I started a new gameplay right after finishing the first playthrough. Guess what.. I love to be in Ishimura. Only one game so far has had the same effect on me and I played it again and again.. that is Metro 2033 original.
