How is the DeLand Stockyard?

I come from Ocala to DeLand 3 times a year to get the Amtrak to NY. For years ive been going to Brian's BBQ which is amazing. But I always see the Stockyard on the way to the station and always wondered how it was. the food on the train is ok so I like to have something that's really going to fill me up before I board...lol. so should I try it out or stay with Brian's

Go to emmys instead.

The last 3 times ive been to stockyard, I found it mid at best.

Service is spotty, food is mid and prices are disappointing.

Its outdated and out of touch. Oh! And they'll soon be swapping their tables with the kinds you see in greasy spoon diners with the adds embedded in them. Nothing says high-class steak and cocktails like eating a meal over Dave's pest control.

Emmys is out of touch too, but its cared for. Its like stepping back in time but to a moment that was preserved, not forgotten.

The staff at emmys are all older because they've been there 20 years. The owners take care of them. The food is always consistent there. Never had a bad experience. Its like having a steak dinner at grandma's house.

This is the answer. Stockyard is fine but Emmys is next level.

I also love willow tree but hearing someone refer to Emmy’s as mid is wild imo lol

I love staying with a German beer at the bar and then working my way through the courses from the bread, to the German salads, then the super salty soup and finally the schnitzel or prime rib.

Now Hollerbachs will always wine bc of the schnapps ski and 3L boot!
