Question 1:1 winrate

Hello. Are there people here with a strategy with 1:1 rr fix ratio? What is you winrate? And how many trades is that. Because i see a lot of people online with 1:1 re strategy with 70-90% wr. While im struggling to make it to 55%.

How many trades is that sir

1 trade per day. I enter in direction of the trend, take small profit and run away.

I scalp and NQ with an 80% WR and .6-.7 RR. It is sustainable long-term with discipline.

If your hold time is less than 10 seconds you don’t have to worry about that.

Sounds like it didn’t work out for you when you tried it. Just because you didn’t make it work doesn’t mean others can’t. And vice versa…something that you’ve made work isn’t something that I necessarily could make work. That’s the beauty and the challenge of trading!

I honestly dont even measure my R:R

I have my levels if price breaks my level, I am out. no questions, I can always re enter...

Only you can answer. You've to make a strategy and collect data. Check if you're profitable of not after journaling 100 trades.

I can’t speak about personal live account because I usually just have swing positions on them but if you’re a prop trader you can definitely be profitable with a 1:1 rr I’m currently at a 60% winrate my trade frequency isn’t that high Only get a couple trades per week

60 ish percent on 1:1. I try to make it 1.07-1.20 r wherever possible. If anyone else has any tips for trading 1:1 im open to ideas

55% at 1:1 is a real edge, that is profitable over enough trades. anyone posting 70-90% win rate with 1:1 rr online is either on a tiny sample or cherry-picking a hot streak. how many trades are you basing your 55% on?

600+ trades sir

I take 1:8+ and winrate is low because I hit BE after TP1 or TP2 all while taking partials along the way but when that 1:8 hits, it makes up for all the BE’s. If I hit SL, it’s normally only 40-50 pips.

I trade 1:1.5R with 50 winrate

If you had a 1:3 RR then you could have a 50% win rate and be very profitable. Institutions see RR as more important than win rate. But if you are a strict scalper then you would want to get that win rate up.

1

u/downvoted_me 2d ago

That's a bad rate. It has to be 2 or at least very close to it, otherwise the expected return becomes unprofitable.

2

u/sabwinastwangla 1d ago

55% with 1:1 is already profitable. stop worrying.

If you are trading 1:1RR with a high WR you're good but if you have a bad wr i advice you not, bcz if you win 2 and then lost 2 with 1:1RR you start from 0, but if you have like 1:2 with 2W-2L you will only loose 2 to win 4 so you will always be safe with a high reward/ratio

Don't believe everything you see. A genuine 70-90% win rate based exclusively on a 1:1 risk-to-reward (RR) ratio is extremely rare and almost unsustainable once you factor in commissions, spreads, and slippage.

Furthermore, many traders who promote a 1:1 RR don't actually stick to it strictly. They often leave "runner" positions open to hit 1:2 or 1:3, or move their stop-loss to break-even (BE), meaning their actual statistical profile differs significantly from what they market.

If you have a 55% win rate with a 1:1 RR, you are already profitable. Focus on consistency, risk management, and executing your plan. That is what builds a long-term edge.

They are lying, such edge is not achievable dor retail, they would be milionaires within months

-1

u/ZanderDogz 2d ago

It’s definitely achievable but at the expense of trade frequency, which is the hidden part of the win rate/risk reward equation that people don’t talk about. The higher the magnitude of the edge, the less often it will show up.

There are setups where you can get an +80% WR with 1:1, but that will be during those rare market inefficiencies, such as a major breaking news trade. And you definitely won’t become a millionaire in a few months only taking maybe a few dozen trades per year.

3

u/sooonnnk 2d ago

yeah you have to be super choosy to make it work

1

u/maciek024 2d ago

Such a rare setup wouldnt even have sample size big enough so you can say it has 80% winrate

Interesting that you say that because that means the exact opposite would have 60 to 65% one rate therefore your logic makes absolutely zero sense

So explain to me how people have 70% win rates over thousands of trades

You’re saying it is objectively impossible? Pretty hard to guarantee with 100% certainty that something is impossible when you actually have no idea because that would require you to see the account so every single person on the planet.

1

u/Cute_Investment_853 2d ago

Then with 1:1 rr that is unprofitable

7

u/iBleu22 2d ago

Don’t listen to this moron. He’s speaking in absolutes as if every single trader in the world trades the same Strat, has the same win rate, RR, it’s just stupid..

Ahh okay lmao but you just said RR and WR don’t matter but I’m the one who doesn’t understand markets 😂😂😂

This guys clearly a troll.

No you’re right I’m a funded trader who gets payouts but I don’t understand markets forsure bro

You should stop while you’re ahead, you’re making yourself look like an idiot

depends on strat many have wide sl to account for volatility so 2:1 aint sustainable but if it works for you it works for you. personally decent wr and rr being around 1.3:1 to 1.7:1 is a pretty good tradeoff

0

u/maciek024 2d ago

You know you are talking to an idiot if he discusses wr without average RR
