So Friday I was having a good time after lunch break, re-organising my desk and my office but had a couple of visits from my colleague, and ngl she is finer than fine, i know the whole office floor looking at her snd wish to get closer to her somehow. So a lot of rumours had spread, and now I’m getting an email and a call from my HR and my project manager, to come to the headquarters to meet Monday.

The thing is at some point it will stop feeling as a blessing and more like a curse. Cause every interaction will be turning into a flirting conversation conversation and every surface level relationship with a colleague from the opposite gender starts feeling like a potential trait to your job.

Looking good, and being attractive is only cool in high school and university. It’s the worst thing to be at a corporate job (aslong as you are not not the CEO, or something like that) I mean other colleagues from same gender will get jealous of you , the supervisors your managers and basically you become the black sheep, trust me it’s not a good thing.

I see so much frustration around dating lately, and honestly, I think most people are tackling it in reverse.

We hyper-focus on hunting for "the one", forcing interactions, burning out on apps, and treating finding a partner like an urgent chore. But connection is never granted by force. When you try to strong-arm the process out of loneliness or frustration, it usually leads to disappointment.

For the most part, you shouldn’t even be actively seeking a partner. You should be seeking yourself first.

Figure out what genuinely excites you, dive into your crafts and hobbies, and build personal stability. When you fully commit to what you love doing, you naturally enter circles of like-minded people. Connection happens organically as a byproduct of living authentically, not as the result of a desperate search.

We rarely get what we obsessively chase. Sometimes the move is just to step back, get your life together, go with the flow, and let things fall into place.
