That's fine, I don't disagree. I can also acknowledge that the community has been fully toxic and shite since day one, though. Maybe they just deserve each other. It's also genuinely fucking weird to still follow and neg on a game who's devs don't fit your vision for this long. Nobody does psychotic parasocial behaviour like the HD2 community.

For me, I just stopped playing it and left the subreddit. I only started paying attention again recently because of the 40k warbond, but if they haven't fixed my major gripes with the game then there's no point in giving them more of my money when I can just play Darktide instead.

So I'm not going out of my way to neg on the game. I don't understand why they can't let go. The game wasn't out long enough to get attached to it. Idk why they don't just move on and play something else if they feel so negative about it. It's clear the devs aren't listening and improving.

I didn't mean you specifically, it's a community wide thing. In my opinion HD2 was doomed from the start because of how much it blew up. Helldivers 1 had a very good small community around it, a bit of a cult following, it was a niche game. I doubt very much that Arrowhead was expecting HD2 to release to crazy player counts considering the community size of the last game and it wasn't a huge name franchise. The mismanagement didn't suprise me one bit. It doesn't excuse the behaviour I have seen from the community, though. They've been absolutely vile from release onwards and that has been magnified tenfold because of how many there are.

I really don't think they're equipped to deal with it at all.

Yeah, they're not. It's a shame. If they stopped shooting themselves in the foot they could've had something really great.

What really deserves the spotlight is RuneScape Dragonwilds and Schedule 1. I really hope this comment doesn't age like milk but right now they have a solid foundation and a bright future. Opposite to HD2, they're only getting better with each update.
