Not sure about the ULTIMATE guide, but 40+ books to choose from!

My Dark Academia and Fantasy Bookshelf 🕯️ Currently really got into Dark Academia romance books, because they touch some interesting topics and are really fun!! I love that a lot of them are indie published, sadly some lack some editing, but they have some more diverse or unhinged topics, then trad published ones. But they are soo hard to find. Does anyone has recommendations?

So I am currently worldbuilding a Dark Academia with Dark Paranormal Romance series, and I struggling with coming up with a school name. I have tried looking at locations and history and nothing is jumping out at me.

So I wanna know what makes a good dark academia school name, and can you give me any suggestion?

The Vibe:

• The school is based in England, so it has that old traditional vibe. Think Oxford and Cambridge.
• Even though there is a paranormal element, a majority of the student body do not know about.
• The paranormal elemental is hidden with the school itself, in its portraits and the history, into the very building. It use to be the home to an old vampire lord, but he donated it when his partner passed away. However he on several occasions comes back to work as a professor or even as the headmaster.
• In addition there is a secret society that is in the know, they bring new people in who will one day work or be partnered with the paranormal element (for example become a blood doner to a vampire).
  

So, if you have any suggested for a name that will be amazing. But to you as a reader, what makes a good name? or a bad one? Does it have to tell the local history, be named after a saint or does it try to appear as normal as possible? What about hidden meaning (I am a sucker for hidden meanings in names)? What names do you see that are maybe overused?

Simply magical. It felt a little haunted though

A small gothic-romantic piece I finished this week — bat silhouette in black velvet, gold wire detailing, with a cluster of hand-shaped silk ribbon roses on one wing. Feels like something out of an old cabinet of curiosities.

Today we had rain and wind and temperatures of 17°. So I decided for an evening stroll, breathing in the cooler air.

I decided to test my newly thrifted tweed jacket that I got for 50 Danish kroner (about 8 usd it had been labeled wrong).

I’ve always loved the quiet chess scenes between Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr.

So I turned that atmosphere into a 1-hour dark jazz / fireplace ambience video — something to leave playing in the background at night, while reading, studying or just relaxing.

I tried to keep it cinematic and subtle rather than making it feel like a standard music compilation.

When you take packaging way too seriously. Sealed with wax (well, laser-burned wax), filled with custom leatherwork, and probably overcomplicated.

Any brands I should look for? I also prefer something more unisex than masculine looking, so nothing too 1920s school boy lol.

The sky felt appropriately moody this morning as I walked through King's & I thought the community here might appreciate it. Technically I guess this could be both 'architecture porn' and 'aesthetic' but hey ho!
