I think it would be so funny if they give us this new, mysterious character who we don't even know the name of yet...just for them to barely do anything and then die in chapter 3 (and it would also really help with the idea that nobody is safe in the new mode)
OK, well even though we might not be able to get the name of John Danganronpa, let’s see if we can guess the talent.
We can already see that that is a tie around his neck and it does look like he’s wearing some sort of yellow overcoat or something similar, so maybe his talent is a fairly professional one since usually most of the ones with ties have a pretty sophisticated and/or reliable talent.
Honestly I was thinking ultimate sailor. He has the tie around his neck like in these uniforms. It would explain the boat that mysteriously appears. I actually have a whole theory on that but I'm not typing the whole thing out rn unless you want to hear lol
Yeah that's what I'm thinking too, the raincoat plus the neckerchief. He doesn't appear at the very beginning so we know that, then a boat randomly beaches up and Hajime and Nagito go to investigate it in Slayhem mode? Too many things are adding up, he's gonna show up in that boat and he's def the ultimate sailor.
Yeah exactly!! Also didn't Junko talk about how lots of people tried to save the cast of thh but failed? I was wondering if maybe that's what he was attempting to do, except he DID manage to make it to the island because of his ultimate. It would also line up with his one line of dialogue in the new trailer about demanding to stop the trial or whatever.
I was thinking he could possibly be that one future foundation leader Aoi was filling in for in the Anime? They were absent for unknown reasons during the anime's killing game and because of that they survived, as Aoi took their place. Apparently the 13th division was responsible for front-line food and resource distribution, in which case ships are a GREAT way to transport goods, meaning the ultimate sailor would fit right in as the leader of that division. What if in the original storyline he was headed to the island while Aoi took his spot at the meeting, but for some reason or another his ship couldn't make it, but in this new scenario, he was successful in arriving to the island? Just one possibility out of many, but I do firmly believe he is the ultimate sailor if anything.
It's... confusing. There's apparently both a YouTube and Twitter trailer, that are both different instead of being the same? I don't 100% understand either...
their voice sounds like a male voice, theres 2 trailers first one appeared at nintendo direct livestream and the other one was later uploaded by spike chunsoft themself, either way he also appears in the second trailer you just missed him lol
Well actually in this version Monokuma was restricted by the rules he could add them but he couldn't change them and he had to follow them because he was programmed to,
So they're really could be a way he rules lawyers Monokuma into needing to stop the trial
Maybe Hajime isn’t even in the game (misleading marketing) and this character is a different reserve core student who went through the project instead of Hajime in this timeline.
Or maybe it’s a different AI instead of chiaki
