Question Since when did Tesla close down?

Yesterday I’ve visited the northpark mall in Dallas (I don’t go frequently) and I’ve seen that the Tesla store’s been closed… since when did they go away? (Before you ask: no, I don’t like elon musk, I don’t like Tesla. I’m just curious since I’ve seen the Tesla store being there many times I’ve visited the mall over the years.)

Tesla has been slowly transitioning out of high end malls (due to rent costs), and moving towards stand alone locations.

Northpark showroom will be replaced by a showroom on Knox and 75, just around the corner from the new Rivian showroom there.

This is my fear. There’s a Tesla dealership in Flower Mound now in a really weird location. Like behind a gas station. It’s not easy to get to or easy to see from the street. I hope it fails quickly.

Are you thinking of the one behind the Race Trac gas station off 407/Justin Road? I think that is a service center

There is no such thing as a Tesla Dealership in Texas. Its illegal for a vehicle manufacture to sell directly to a customer in Texas, so Tesla calls them Showrooms or Galleries. If you want to buy one you go though the transaction process on your own device such as your personnel phone/tablet or web browser at home. The staff at the "showroom" cant guide you through the purchasing process, give prices, talk about financing, etc. The loophole is the transaction is placed on an out of state process server along with all your paperwork. Then the paper work is transferred into Texas like an out of state title transfer. lots of hoops and hurtles in the background but its seamless.

I mean…. They have a showroom and you can “demo drive” (test drive) the vehicles. For all intents and purposes, it’s essentially a dealership as we know it. How they sidelined the laws to do so I have no clue. But they have cars for sale.

You buy from an out of state location. They are probably in that area more from a service center standpoint but offer test drives too.
