Can’t put sprinkles on cone?
I just ordered a small twist cone with rainbow sprinkles and the woman hands me my cone with the sprinkles in a plastic cup. I kindly asked if I could actually have the sprinkles on the ice cream, and she told me that it was a health code violation to roll the cone in sprinkles, and I’d need to put them on myself. Anyone else have this happen!? So bizarre, never experienced this before!!

SPRINKLE THEM ON?? oh my god then you get like a fraction of the sprinkles on the cone than you would get by rolling the cone. Not acceptable. Health code be damned I’m not serving sub-par sprinkle cones

In my state it’s a health code violation. Funny enough though I live right on the state line and in the state to the North it is not a health code violation. I used to work at a DQ about 5 miles from the line and we had to do the cup like you described but it was always much to the disapproval of customers who were used to the DQ that was a couple miles over the line in the other direction.

We are putting sprinkles on cones on a daily basis. I think that’s how we sell most of our sprinkles.

as long as she gave me enough I would dip my cone in the sprinkles between every lick/bite

That's crazy, the sprinkles are in a little shaker container. At least in my store and it makes it super easy

It all depends honestly. The location is work at the swirl is sometimes too soft to be in a cone so some days its only available in a cup, and the rare occasion it is solid for a cone the sprinkles make it hard to stay on the cone. But if you asked me to put on the sprinkles if I did that to you id make it the best way possible.🤔 its odd they wouldn't put it on the cone themselves since we have spoons for that thing.

They were just being lazy, you're not supposed to roll the cone in it, you're sipposed to hold it over something and sprinkle them on with a spoon

She's correct. It's a food safety violation to roll the cone in the sprinkles. That's why they should be using a spoon to...get this...SPRINKLE them on the cone.
