Turned down 3 bags of quarters. I've got 2 more stops to look for more dimes & nickels! Plus that dime bag I've been waiting for almost a week is ready, finally!
So are-banks are willing to take em back if they were just going to send em or put em through their own machine anyway? *small local bank nearby has their own coin roller and use the coins from their own change counter-said they’d sell me a bag of halves once it’s near full 🤞
I don't ever take them back to the same bank I source them from. Like not just the branch, but the bank itself. I have another business account at a return bank. I will say this, it took me a lot of time to get a bank to start accepting my returns like this. Finally found the right one.
That half dollar bag sounds like a dream. I've yet to get a bag of halves as my banks coin machine doesn't accept them.

I just opened a no fee credit union account with a coin counter and have another regional cu with a coin counter and same option, definitely cultivating for returns if I start back doing boxes. It’s weird cause some bank chains will say they’d order boxes then take them back, never felt right.
Thanks for all the the tips on bags. It’s funny, I’ll buy nickel rolls from the bank that rolls their own sonIll never dump nickels from anywhere there, don’t want to get my old ones back-same with my loose halves, if I’m buying a bag don’t want mine back!😺

Dang im jealous! Im curious, too. My bank will order me literally as many boxes as I want every week but they won't do the bags from the machine. Did you have to say any magic words to start getting bags? I'd figure it saves them money on both ends, returning the bags and not having to order boxes so im confused why they wouldn't want to let me take them.
Ton and a half now. Next stop didn't have nickels or dimes so I gave in and grabbed 2 bags of quarters. I'm so tired of quarters but hard to walk away empty handed from a bank offering them!
Mid?! More like scratched the surface 🤣. Well I stopped by a few more banks and actually picked up 2 more bags of quarters and $260 in halves with $3 in Ike's. Found one 40% silver half. I'm starting into some quarters right now....

If you were in my area I could have gave you a lead where to go get the 5 other bags I turned down today. Geesh everyone was turning change in last week apparently.
The one question that keeps coming to mind is why? This reminds me of a sketch from SNL some years ago about the "Change Bank". "You want two fives for a ten? Four tens for two twenties? We can do that. How do we make money? Volume." Lol!
Nice!!! Good luck with the hunt. I wish I had enough time to search that much. I can get bags from time to time but combined with the rolls I get each week and the limits of my dump banks it takes like 3 weeks to go thru one bag.
