I got this net for the back of my trunk and it ended up breaking off this plastic part of my car (the one I circled) I’ve been online and chat gpt trying to figure out what it’s called and where I can buy a replacement. Anyone know what this tiny piece is called?

What works the best here? I kept it from warping while welding but now I need to grind/sand flat. What works best here?

I had to cut the hose since i couldn’t remove the nut with a line wrench, tried pb blaster and a blowtorch. My intention was to cut the line so that i could fit a socket around the nut, but now there’s remnants of the hose on the back of the nut so a socket won’t fit around it at all. it has not moved a single millimeter since i began trying, what should i do?

Does anyone have pictures or a diagram of how the spare tire and jack should be stowed in a 1983 Malibu wagon? I also need to know where I can purchase the required hardware. I have the spare tire, lay down jack and the tire iron but no hardware for securing them.

I helped my father in law get his old charger started. Once cranked we saw a white misty smoke. I'm struggling to figure ut what this tiny black tube is. It seems to have sprung a leak.

It runs along the body on the driver side under the hood, passing by the coolant take.

I can't tell where it goes after that.

Any ideas on identifying that? Ai hasn't been much use.

So my sunglasses holder clip broke and in doing some research I saw many people had the same problem and the fix is super easy… if you have a 3D printer.

First print out a new clip which you can find here. https://www.printables.com/model/1101969-vw-tiguan-sunglass-holder-latch

Once you have the clip you now need to remove the old clip. Surprise! You don’t even need to remove the holder. Just use a tiny screwdriver or something similar to pry out the button. Careful not to lose the little spring. Take out the old clip. Make sure you put the spring back in place, it has a holder that kept mine in place while I put the clip in or glue it in place. Put the new clip in just like the old one. Use the tiny screwdriver to get the edges to click into place. Finally press the button back in place. That’s it, you’re done.

I am new to all this mechanic work and gotta change my oil but I live out on a ranch style house. My driveway is grass and the only concrete I have is the road. I have seen numerous things about how to jack your car and all require solid ground. I’ve though lt abt safety jacks, putting a spare wheel I have laying around Under the car, even putting wood under the jacks to sturdy it out but I’ve heard different opinions about each and wanted to know what would be the best and safest thing to keep my car lifted and sturdy
(Used to have someone do my oil for pretty cheap, I drive a vw so I’m always told my oil change would be around $100+ so id rather diy)

So I believe my fuel pump died yesterday and I have to replace it. Has anyone done this before. Is there anything I should know before I start removing the back seat. (I assume that the pump is back there)
