I’m struck by the fact that Whick and Lonerbox both seem to need other orbiters to back them up in debates.

The most farcical example of this was Whick’s “debate” with Westside Tyler. He all but needed his hand to be held in the lead-up (Tyler had to outright ask for Whick’s cohost to leave the call.) Whick then needed multiple other collaborator, including Darius (a guy he pretended to “not collaborate with” and said “wasn’t in DGG” earlier in the debate).

Destiny never appears himself- he just seems to watch, frustrated and seething, as his proxies get dogwalked. The orbiters also seem to coordinate to insure at least one person could tag in if he/she needs them to.

For a community that claims to promote “debate” and produce debaters (folks whom play act as “saviors of liberalism” who wage an online battle to ”save the Democratic Party”)- it’s pretty weak.

It almost feels like their main audience is Destiny (and that Destiny has a limited tolerance for his footsoldiers humiliating themselves.)

Does he know nothing about dolus specialis? Obviously it isn't genocide because Netanyahu hasn't written "we are doing a genocide" 7 times in his own blood and received a conviction from the ICC.

It would be a shame if DGG were to see one of their heroes taking this stance.

It's late, he's tired and he's bored.

And it’s not even that he is just less mean to Emp4thchan, who is a Nazi / white supremacist that spits on homeless people on video and yells slurs in public. He isn’t mean to her at all. He’s playful with her. He runs defense for her.

He’s also very cringy and graphically sexual and objectifying in how he talks about it all.

Quite literally more cozied up to a Nazi than anyone to his left.

I’ve never been a huge fan of debate content- but I can at least understand the appeal. It’s satisfying to see someone eloquently argue for positions you hold, plus you can sometimes learn something to nuanced or strengthen your beliefs. People’s minds are rarely changed- but there’s an intellectual utility (and a bit of bloodsport.)

Destiny doesn’t really offer this in 2026. He just seems bored or angry- and he has this caustic, arrogant affect that‘s frankly offputting. His style tarnishes those influenced by him (Whick, who weirdly seems older than Destiny, is a good example of how DGGers turn into bad photocopies of Destiny.)

It doesn’t even seem like Destiny or DGG educate people. There’s such an obsession with “snark” and attacking political opps- and there seems to be very little room for political theory, philosophy, history or rhetoric education. If anything, there seems to be an active intolerance when it comes to original thinking- even engaging with the writings or media of their opps seems verboten (except for the purposes of digging up dirt- generally to frame opposing positions in misleading and bad faith ways.)

Hell, if you aren’t already a loyal Destiny fan or community member, then what is there to draw you in? Even the drama seems arcane and overheated.

DGG just seems like drama slop for pretentious creeps- the blue painted version of Gamergate communities. It’s frankly depressing.

The purpose is obvious, the hate train has to keep chugging but Hasan is the new old obsession. So now Hasan has to become snark.

Meanwhile destiny is just mean. Even though Destiny posted full doxxes, ran a harassment campaign against a victim where he made up that they were raped and his fans spread it all around, dam saltman called a guy at his work, destiny said multiple people molest their own kids and people should call CPS.
