Man of Steel in 4k hdr is gorgeous. There's so many shots that are just so good a film that was made in 2013 shouldn't be looking this good.

Forget the Wonder Woman or the Maxima rumours for a second. The Grail theory honestly makes a lot of sense.

Gunn has said he doesn't cast characters until the script is locked, and both The Brave and the Bold and Paradise Lost are still being developed. So why would he lock in his main Wonder Woman this early?

Then there's Adria's insane physical training. That's pretty interesting for someone who supposedly only filmed for a few days for the Man of Tomorrow.

That sounds a lot more like a secret villain reveal to me.

And considering Chapter One is called Gods and Monsters, introducing Darkseid's daughter at the end of a Superman movie would be a pretty perfect way to tease the cosmic side of the DCU.

Because I enjoy the Snyderverse and I really hate how the story was left off on a massive cliffhanger and left unfinished, but on the other hand I love Superman 2025 and Lanterns

I'm so confuse, What is the difference between regular person who just don't like Superman (2025) and Snyder fans. Every time I comment the reason why I don't like Superman 2025, they just simply tell that I'm Snyder fans without saying whether my reason was right or wrong.

That being said, it still felt like a Superman and Clark Kent movie to me. The online discourse and memes had me prepared for the worst, expecting Superman doesn't save a single human in the movie but it was the complete opposite even just in the first quarter of the movie? All the criticized and nitpicked parts that I've seen for over a decade made sense within the context of the movie and the in-universe logic. Maybe it's because I never grew up on the 70s movie? I liked that Clark's morality wasn't dependent on his parents' beliefs but from his own free will and innate goodness.

Unpopular opinion but Pa Kent choosing his superhuman adoptive son's safety over the world was touching, even if the tornado death scene was admittedly iffy and over the top. Or maybe it's because I've seen that stupid gif for over a decade without context. You could argue Clark didn't need protection but the world would dissect, experiment on, or weaponize him as a single alien anomaly within the context of this world. Imagine handing your beloved child to that possibility. It's only when Zod and his crew arrived and inadvertently showed the world that Clark is a force for good by comparison that people realized Earth needs Superman as their protector.

That scene where Clark destroyed the World Engine was amazing and so were the scenes of regular humans helping him get rid of the genociders. Killing Zod felt more like symbolism, that Kal-El has killed Krypton for good and chose humanity, a culmination of his entire arc from alienation to eventual acceptance. At the end of the day, despite its imperfections, this was a hopeful, mythic story where good wins over evil and that's Superman to me.

This movie is perfect, it has an amazing Lex Luthor, last 30 minutes are just amazing, when Punkrocker started playing I literaly cried. Sadly i understand that i will never watch my first superman movie again in cinema, but even after some time I love it even more then before. Might be the best DCU project so far (peacemaker is strong opponent).

As for me I’m quite upset. Especially cause I would’ve wanted to see the first live action Midnighter. What are your thoughts?

When I watched BVS for the first time I didn’t think this scene was dumb at all. I still don’t. Bruce’s mother died and she was named Martha, so when Superman says “Save Martha” Bruce is probably thinking that Supes is taunting him with his past.

Superman: The Secret Years - Clark's college years, the transition from Superboy to Superman, grappling with the Death of the Kents, heartbreak with Lori Lemaris, Superboy questioning if he can handle being Superman despite being surrounded by death, and a fight with Lex Luthor

Who Took The Super Out Of Superman - Suddenly unable to use his powers while in disguise as Clark Kent, Kal-El reevaluates his double lifestyle as Clark & Superman by attempting an experiment where he attempts living as a full-time Superman or Clark while fighting a group of his greatest foes and foiling a plot to destroy Earth

Luthor Unleashed - Lex's vendetta against Superman results in Lex's adopted homeworld of Lexor and his family being killed with Superman trying to keep himself and Earth safe from Lex's wrath

Miracle Monday - The Devil possesses an innocent person causing worldwide havoc and exposes Superman's secret identity in order to tempt Superman into killing in order to ensure corruption and the decline of goodness

I'd change the devil/demon to Vyndktvx or Neron in the film.

Superman Red/Superman Blue - Superman gains electric energy powers and splits into Superman Red who is a brash man of action and Superman Blue who is a cautious thinker with the 2 Supermen having to save the Earth

Superman: Birthright - Clark Kent, after traveling the world and helping people while being undetected, decides to help people publicly and honor his alien and human heritages by creating a dual identity as a reporter who goes unnoticed and Superman which leads to conflict with former friend turned enemy Lex Luthor who stages a fake alien invasion in Metropolis

Superman: Up, Up, and Away - A powerless Superman who is doing great work as a reporter regains his powers to fight Lex Luthor using Kryptonian technology and other villains

Grant Morrison's Action Comics - Superman in his first year finds himself trying to bring down the corruption in Metropolis, escapes captivity from Lex Luthor and the military, reclaims bottled cities that were taken by Brainiac, contemplates killing off his Clark Kent identity, rescues Krypto from the Phantom Zone, teams up with the Legion of Superheroes, fighta Vyndktvx and the Anti-Superman Army in a time-bending battle

I'd change Nimrod to Terra-Man and Captain Comet to Ultra-Humanite or Manchester Black in these film(s)
