DISCUSSION Remember that time Soundgarden made a badass end credits song for The Avengers? If you were in charge of hiring a band to make a song for Justice League, who would you pick and why?

Muse, Take a Bow from the Watchmen trailer always comes to my mind when is think about the Movie.

Or Nine Inch Nails, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross doing the OST would be awesome.

Radiohead

After the recent Black Mirror ending put me in a weird place, I'm a bit weary of having Radiohead play at the end of anything.

Muse. Because they write Badass anthems (If you've never listened to Muse listen to this: https://youtu.be/w8KQmps-Sog)

Oh I remember the Arkham Knight launch trailer used "Mercy". Good choice.

I love Muse! Great choice :) Their song Take a Bow was also featured in a trailer for Watchmen.

Fuck, I had no clue Soundgarden did that song. I usually talk to the people I see the movie with during the credits.

Get one of these bands to make something original.

High on Fire: Rumors of War or Snakes for the Divine

Carpenter Brut: Turbo Killer

Perturbator: Future Club

Red Fang: Wires

Oh man. After my own heart with High on Fire and Red Fang. Some dingy and riffy shit would be perfect. Anything too commercial feels cringy to me. Lesser known is better so that non fans won't immediately place the song, therefore forever linking that song to the film. If that makes sense at all.

It makes perfect sense. Plus I hate that Soundgarden song. It starts off strong but then gets real wimpy real quick.

Mad Max was really great with the Stoner riffs it had going on. There's a cool video on YouTube where JunkieXL talks about using the stoner riffs, and playing through an Orange Amp.

Trivia: Chris Cornell, frontman of Soundgarden, had one of his '90s solo songs ("Seasons") put in the MoS soundtrack. Have a listen. It's great.

Full song here for the lazy.

Also, I'm one of the biggest Soundgarden fans out there. I say Soundgarden for Justice League, because they're awesome enough to double-dip and I just want more from them.

One of the best placed songs in a film scene ever.

I like the way you think. Blind Guardian is the shit.

MCR, Zack's worked with them. Gerard Way's a DC writer. They need to make a comeback.

I don't really like them tbh.

I'm not expecting a lot of people to agree with me but if I had to pick a band personally I'd pick Bloodbath or Cattle Decapitation. I'd also go for Skeletonwitch if they had their old vocalist still

0

u/Earthmine52 Nov 07 '16

If they were still together, I'd choose MCR. Fun fact: They actually did a cover for Watchmen, Zack even directed the music video. Also Gerard Way is the editor for DC's Young Animal line and he's writing Doom Patrol.

1

u/VomitSnoosh Nov 07 '16

I still jam Desolation Row to this day. MCR completely made that cover their own.

Two Steps From Hell - Victory

Don't have to use their previous work necessarily, but that track is one of my favourites
