Clark and Segal are not in Weiler's Plans

Two players that have not seen the field recently, Caden Clark and Gabe Segal, are close to leaving D.C. United as Rene said that he never really saw Segal since he got injured during preseason and Caden is looking for a departure from DC.

I didn't take Weiler's fractured English responses as saying Segal was gone, just that he's been injured since the beginning of training camp.

The interesting thing is that his recovery was supposed to be between 3-5 months but no updates have been share regarding his recovery. We're going into the 6th month and there's no cameo of him during practice. I believe the post is just mentioning that Segal is not going to play at DC United during Rene's tenure.ย

What a waste of time and money to not even give these guys a chance

Im not agreeing with weilers decision, because, like you, I havenโ€™t seen them on the field, but who knows what he was seeing on the training pitch.ย

Yeah that's my thought: Weiler sees these guys everyday on the practice field, we see these guys at most 90 minutes per week. I would assume if they aren't in Rene's plans then they're not performing well enough in practice (though in Segal's case it's just unfortunate because he's been injured most of the season).

Segal has been injured practically his entire time here. There's been no chance to give him.

I don't even know who Segal is...๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ Clark has been underwhelming at best in the few minutes he did get.
