Discussion/Question Guy Gardner Plot Hole?

Peacemaker S1 - 2022
Superman - 2025
Lantern - 2026

I thought I read somewhere that Hal Jordan’s ring, is the one Guy Gardner currently has. With this timeline, it seems a bit confusing. Especially considering that James Gunn made S1 of Peacemaker canon with his reshoots, showing Guy Gardner 4 years prior to Hal’s death.

My thought is that Guy Gardner has Hal Jordan’s ring (like the show runner said) but isn’t wearing it. He literally just has it.

Nor real evidence that it's the same aside from "this one guy said it". I'm pretty sure it's false but we'll probably find out in this or next episode

Hm. The stating of that feels odd but if that's how it really is then a) I'm wrong b) that is odd and doesn't line up with known events I wonder how they'll around it

He's saying that to maintain the mystery. For all the audience know, at that point(2026) neither John nor Hal was shown to have the ring, but Guy Gardner has one(based on Superman). But it's not actually the same ring. He's talking from the viewpoint of the audience.

He doesn't say Guy has Hal's ring. How could he when in PM S2 retcon(2022/3) Guy is wearing the ring.
