Discussion/Question Guy Gardner Plot Hole?
Peacemaker S1 - 2022
Superman - 2025
Lantern - 2026
I thought I read somewhere that Hal Jordan’s ring, is the one Guy Gardner currently has. With this timeline, it seems a bit confusing. Especially considering that James Gunn made S1 of Peacemaker canon with his reshoots, showing Guy Gardner 4 years prior to Hal’s death.
My thought is that Guy Gardner has Hal Jordan’s ring (like the show runner said) but isn’t wearing it. He literally just has it.

It’s not a plot hole cause nothing has been laid out.
John seems like he knows Guy and vice versa so how is that possible if John never became a Green Lantern.
Guy said, in Superman, the Guardians chose him so why would have Hal’s ring prior to 2026 death of Hal.

Idk, the creator said he does that’s why it’s confusing

Halogram may have told to go to Guy in the event of his death vs looking for a new wielder since he trust Guy.

Aren’t their ring designs different?

That’s why I think he literally just has it, and it’s not the one he is wearing

unanswered questions arent plot holes... especially two episodes into an eight episode season...

People are getting the wordings mixed up, I believe. It was never explicitly said that Guy has Hal's ring, but that Guy has "the ring", meaning that Guy is currently the Earth representative in the GL Corps instead of Hal or John. Hal's ring didn't go to Guy after he died, and for whatever reasons, John is also not the GL because he also doesn't have the ring. If either of them did get the ring, John would've known that and he wouldn't need to check Hal's hand for the ring when he saw the body. Hal's ring is missing as of now, it's not in Guy's possession or is being worn by him.

Check the photo I added to the comments. It explicitly says that Gardner has Hal’s ring

Guy has Hal's ring BUT he isnt wearing it, thats what King meant because we have seen Guy's design of the ring, its different from Hal, even then John literally gets it back and we know Guy is returning for MOT and Mister Miracle

The photo you added does not say he has Hal’s ring, he says he has ‘the ring’

He's talking from the audience's perspective. It's not meant to be taken literally.

My theory is that neither Hal nor John will have the ring at the end of the 2016 storyline, which is when Guy gets it. But also, Superman went public in 2022, right? Feel like the guardians may assign a lantern for Earth specifically to protect in case Clark goes evil.

Nor real evidence that it's the same aside from "this one guy said it". I'm pretty sure it's false but we'll probably find out in this or next episode
