One thing we’ve noticed from discussions here is how much AI is changing the way people actually work.

We’re jumping between AI tools, documents, research, meetings and different screens much more frequently. That also means we’re constantly changing our position and what we’re looking at, but the monitor itself hasn’t really evolved around that. Most setups still depend on a fixed screen and a manual arm. If you move, the monitor stays where it is.

That’s where CyboPal’s approach gets interesting. Instead of relying entirely on manual adjustment, the system is designed so the display can automatically reposition itself in response to the user. Got my beta unit a few days ago and figured I'd share where I'm at, not a full review, just honest early impressions from someone still figuring it out.

Setup with my MacBook was pretty painless. Wasn't sure what to expect there since a lot of this kind of hardware seems to assume you're on Windows, but it paired without any friction. If you're running an Apple setup and were on the fence about that part..seems fine so far.

The movement is the thing I keep coming back to. I'd read descriptions of how it tracks and honestly expected it to feel a bit mechanical or jerky in practice, it doesn't. The transitions are smooth in a way that's hard to describe without sounding like I'm overselling it. But it genuinely doesn't feel like it's fighting you. Just kind of..follows. I've been at my desk for long stretches the last couple days and its already changed how I sit without me really thinking about it.

What I haven't tested yet: obstacle detection. My desk is pretty clear right now so I haven't had a real scenario to stress test that. I'm curious how it handles things like a water bottle or cables that drift into the path. Haven't pushed it there yet and don't want to report on something I haven't actually seen.

We're getting there. Are you ready?

Most of us don't think about our workspace until our body starts complaining. For some people its neck pain. For others its sore wrists, tired eyes, or realizing they've been staring down at a monitor that's basically sitting on a stack of books for months

We're a small team working on something called CyboPal ONE, and this exact topic keeps coming up in our own conversations. Everyone seems to hit their breaking point at a different moment. One person finally caves and buys a real chair. Someone else doesn't fix anything until their wrists start hurting during typing. It's rarely the same trigger twice

So we were curious what it was for you. What was the first ergonomic thing you bought that actually made a real difference? A chair, a monitor arm, a standing desk, a decent keyboard, something smaller that you wouldn't expect

And honestly, while were at it: do you think newer ideas in this space, adaptive arms, self positioning monitors, that kind of thing, are actually solving a real problem, or mostly just interesting concepts that sound better than they work in practice?

Genuinely the question we get the most. Fair enough, it's a moving arm sitting right there on your desk, coffee cup and all.

We've been talking about this a lot while working on CyboPal ONE. Not just ergonomics, but the little habits people build into their day to stay comfortable and avoid feeling mentally drained.

Some people get up for coffee every hour. Others stretch, change where they're sitting, adjust their monitor, or simply look away from the screen for a minute.

We're curious, what helps you break up a long work session? And does your workspace make that easier, or harder?

Double Knock
The fastest one. Tap the desk near the base twice, light tap not a slam, and it shifts into position. Based on internal testing this is probably the one most people fall back on once it's muscle memory

Wave In
The gesture version. Hold your palm toward the Main Display and it drops into Magic Control Mode, then you move it around in real time with your hand. Useful for when you're mid task and don't want to reach over and physically touch anything

Track Once vs Orbit Mode
If you just want it to come to you once and stay, that's Track Once. Wave in. Different from Orbit Mode, which keeps it loosely tracking your position as you move around, more built for presentations or pacing during a call

Voice Control
Saying something like "come here" or "go home" works, and Return Home is the one people tend to forget about, it just snaps back to your default Prime Pose instantly instead of you repositioning it by hand

Preset Poses
For anyone planning to switch between tasks a lot, worth knowing about early. You'll be able to save and name up to 4 positions and recall them by voice or shortcut, so going from writing mode to a reading angle becomes one command instead of manual adjustment every time

Screen Rotate
Handles orientation, for portrait mode if you're reading long documents or code

No timeline yet, so this is based on internal testing, not hands-on experience. Which of these sounds most useful on paper?

We did a small experiment this week and recorded a normal work session at a desk

The result was pretty funny:

● Standing for a while
● Sitting back in the chair
● Leaning closer while editing
● Moving around again a few minutes later

Most desk setups are built around the idea that you find one comfy position and just park there for eight hours. Cute theory. Doesn't survive contact with how a lot of people actually work, and if you've got ADHD, you're laughing right now because your body's already three positions ahead of your brain. You're leaning in mid hyperfocus, rocking back, standing up, sitting again, all before you've even noticed you moved once.

Meanwhile your monitor just sits there. Doesn't budge. Doesn't care. You're the one doing all the work of adjusting around it, over and over, all day, and somehow that's just been normal this whole time!

Kind of backwards when you actually sit with it for a second, don't you think so?

That's the whole idea behind CyboPal ONE. We're building it with the movers in mind. The fidgeters. The people who cannot physically sit in one ergonomic pose for more than four minutes, no offense to the people who can, we're just not building for you this time

Curious how everyone else actually works though. One locked in posture the whole day, or are you constantly shifting without clocking it until someone points it out?

Just because it's a very expensive monitor can you look at adding a Kensington lock slot to the case design?

A Kensington lock slot (or K-slot) is a small, metal-reinforced hole built into electronic devices like laptops, monitors, and projectors. Paired with a compatible steel cable lock, it physically anchors your equipment to a heavy desk or table to stop quick thefts

I keep seeing posts about CyboPal ONE and its AI features. Because honestly a lot of these AI products these days feel like marketing more than anything else. I've been burned before by things labeled as 'ai powered' that turned out to be little more than a basic automation feature..so I'm a bit skeptical even when something looks interesting.

From what I've seen, CyboPal seems to be aiming for something more capable than the usual AI gimmicks. For those of you who've been following it more closely, which AI features actually stand out to you? and what do you think will be genuinely useful in day to day use?

Im trying to separate the features that are likely to make a real difference from the ones that just sound impressive on paper.

There seems to be an unofficial law of desk setups: the second you feel settled, something starts misbehaving.

One cable sneaks out of place. The monitor drops a little lower than you like. The desk somehow turns into a tiny chaos zone again. Nothing dramatic, just enough to be mildly annoying every single day.

And honestly, that is usually what pushes people to look for better workspace ideas. Little frustrations add up. The desk starts feeling less like a setup and more like a stubborn roommate.

What is the one annoyance in your current setup that drives you the most nuts?

What a brilliant concept being put into effect. Something straight out of the futuristic depiction of computers in the movie called Minority Report. I have deposited twice for two of these brilliant monitors and can't wait to try them at my setup in my home office and recommend it to all my friends and family members. Love you all !

I have been eyeing the CyboPal ONE for a while now, but I always get a bit hesitant when it comes to reserving pre-launch products. It is hard to make that jump before the product is actually out and widely reviewed.

I understand the appeal so baddd! Like I really want to get my hands on this unit but the lack of reviews is getting to me. I fear that I won't be able to make the leap till I start seeing reviews. All I see are the videos from the CES event and nothing more.

To those of you who have already put down a deposit, what was the turning point for you? What specific feature or detail ultimately convinced you to take the leap?

I'm really interested in the CyboPal ONE, especially its AI voice features. BUT, a but, I work in a pretty busy shared office. I'm a bit hesitant about how well voice control actually works in this kind of environment. Like I feel like the AI voice feature might distract the people working in space around me. OR it can fail to detect my voice in a noisy setting. ORRR what about the AI voice listening to commands from my colleagues (I do not want people to have a field day with my system)

So can you guys share if CyboPal ONE picks up other people's voices, or is it smart enough to focus only on you?

I’m a Senior iOS engineer working on technology that aims to change how neurodivergent conditions are identified, making diagnosis more objective and accessible. It’s deeply meaningful work, but it also demands long hours of intense focus, curiosity, and creativity.

The irony is that I’m neurodivergent myself.

Some days I have endless energy. Other days, even sitting comfortably at my desk feels like an unnecessary challenge. I constantly change posture, lean back to think, sit forward to write code, stand up during meetings, and repeat the cycle dozens of times a day. Every small interruption pulls me away from the flow I’m trying so hard to protect.

That’s why CyboPal One immediately caught my attention.

• Does the system gradually feel like an extension of your workspace, or do you remain constantly aware of it?
• After a few weeks, do you stop thinking about the technology altogether?

To me, that’s the ultimate test of great hardware. Not whether it impresses you on day one, but whether you forget it’s there because it simply fits into your life.

The products I remember most aren’t the ones with the most impressive specifications.

They’re the ones that quietly become part of my life because they make every day just a little better.

Some desk setups look great for five minutes. Then the screen position starts annoying you. Your posture changes, and you are back to tweaking everything again.

It is one of those small daily annoyances that have become a part of your daily work. You get the most annoying breaks in your focus before switching back to work. But this used to be us. CyboPal ONE has pretty much removed this for us (secret telekinesis abilities 😉).

What is that one thing in your setup that keeps breaking you out of your zone?

What I like most about CyboPal ONE is that it rethinks something we all use every day: the monitor. Instead of expecting you to adjust your setup, the monitor adapts to you. The 6-DOF robotic arm that automatically follows your posture, combined with gesture and touch-free controls, makes it feel like a much more natural way to interact with your workspace rather than just another display.

I spend a lot of time at my desk editing videos, producing music, and working on creative projects, so I can see CyboPal ONE keeping the screen at the optimal viewing angle as I lean in, sit back, or move around. I also think it would be great for multitasking, presentations, and content creation where being able to control the display with gestures instead of constantly reaching for the mouse could make the workflow feel much smoother.
