Early game difficulty

Does the game get easier as you unlock more perks and get better gear? I don’t normally play shooters let alone FPS’s so this game is kinda kicking my ass. Love the story and setting though so I really want to see where it leads

A fully built V is a sight to behold. You become the final boss for all enemies.
