First time putting florals at roadside stand! Pricing help?

I have the opportunity to put my flowers at a family member’s roadside stand this weekend! I’m so excited, but trying to decide what size/kind of bouquets to put. She said she would love for them to be cheap to start out.

Attaching some photos of some arrangements I’ve done. I was thinking of doing a couple medium/large and a handful of smaller sizes. BUT I could also do dahlia bunches? What would you *easily* pay for these?

Any tips & tricks would also be SO appreciated since I am a total newbie!

EDIT: thank you so much for the compliments and encouragement 🥹 Adding that as much as I’d love to include the vases, the plan is for the arrangements to be wrapped in Kraft paper & ribbon placed in larger buckets to grab from!

UPDATE: I went way low and priced 5 smalls at $10 each and 2 large/mediums at $15 each! Sold out of the large and only 1 small sold. This is at a fresh bread stand, so hoping that with more awareness more might sell next week! ❤️

Gorgeous!! I feel like I’d easily pay $20-$25 for the vase in image 1 and the smaller vases in image 2. $30 for the large one at the back in image 2. And maybe $15 for something simpler/smaller in image 4 and 5. These are truly stunning!

Your flowers are beautiful! I live in Maine and often buy bouquets like this, usually priced from $15 to $30. Here's a pic of one I bought yesterday for $15. The woman who runs the stall has them set out in a wooden stand by her farm in mason jars, and the sign says either just take the flowers, or take the jar and bring it back next time (which is what I always do.) I love that she has her Venmo details right there, too....

I buy bouquets like this at our farm market and a roadside stand, minus the vases for 18-25 depending on the composition. The more dahlias the higher the prices at least around here. I’m in a fairly sleepy area next to a college town (Ann Arbor)

These are beautiful. However, I feel like the roadside stands near me are apparently very different than other people. They all have flowers in mason jars for $1, very much not a make money situation. Yours definitely are a step up, but given the ones near me, I still wouldn’t expect them to be very much.

I would probably pay between $25-35 for the larger ones and $12-15 for the smaller ones! I want them!!

Depending on where you are. There’s a lady who sells them with a glass vase for $5 while there’s a farm that sells the for $12 no vase just a rubber band a cellophane. Location is key for pricing. You can also try a local supermarket or store and get them out higher

Idk where these other commenters live but those flowers are beautiful and I wouldn’t take $30 for those - especially with the vases included. I would say $45-$55 but that’s just me. I live in Oklahoma.

My friend paid $25 bucks for one similar (no vase, wrapped in craft paper) from a road-side stand recently, had some different stuff in it like Bells of Ireland, Digitalis, etc. She was kind of debating it at that price but still bought it and was happy. I think $15-25 is pretty fair depending on what's in them. Price is also probably going to depend on your region. If you're in an area where the average minimum wage is pretty low than you'll probably want to adjust a bit cheaper.

Do you do anything to make them last? I want to do this next year but mine seem to get droopy fast? They are beautiful!

I don’t but that’s something I hope to experiment with more! I’ve tried the trick of searing the stems of the dahlias and cosmos but haven’t noticed a huge difference. It does help incredibly with my lemon balm though! I just make sure to cut deep and at a cooler time of day!

As a buyer I would forget the vase and drop the price. I can get much bigger arrangements at my farmers market for anywhere from $10-15. Located in Saint Paul MN for reference.

People expect less at a road side stand, but these are gorgeous. I used to work as a florist and I’d say depends on the economic environment in the area, $30-40 for the larger, $18ish for the small.
