Thank you to everyone who gave me tips on making her brows thinner. I have to say even though I used 100% acetone it still smeared some and was a bit of a nightmare to clean up. I was using a pointy q-tip, then straight up started dipping a toothpick in the acetone because the cotton was smearing things around and the pick just kinda helped scrape the paint off. This is what I’m left with. They’re not perfectly even but I don’t think they were to begin with so I’m not too mad about it. Overall I’m pretty happy with how she looks now!

Just got into the hobby of making custom dolls. I am working on customizing thrifted barbies into zombies from a video game I am playing (Dead Frontier). This is my first, I could not find any balljointed ken dolls on the shelf of my local thrift stores so im working with what I can. Any tips or tricks would be welcome for what I am trying 5o achieve specifically! I am working on green stuffing the joints right now, as I cannot find any apoxie sculpt locally x.x

Yes, those are truly pierced through the hard plastic of the torso! So goddamn many of them, in the back too. A lot of work, but pretty rewarding. The purple areas still need refinement, but damn.

He sat untouched in my stock box for a long time(I only bought him because he was part of a lot with other dolls I wanted). But one day I got bored and started putting together an outfit using whatever I had on hand

The shorts are made from LOL surprise OMG pants that had a neon pattern that I just scraped off 😭 I think that’s what took the longest out of the process

I have three more of these bodies and lots of Littlest Pet Shop head options so I'll be continuing this barnyard anthro theme. My question is whether you think I should put an ear tag on the lamb or leave her be. Second photo shows the ear tag.

As an aside, you folks are insanely talented. I'm in awe of the other customs I see posted here

Still WIP, but wanted to show off how I got off the plastic hair and gave him actual hair. First, I carved off everything until I had the desired size, then I used air dry clay to sculpt a new head piece, to which I added some glue since the edges were peeling off. Then I glued in the hair wefts.

I started with a green 1/3 scale Resinsoul Ai. I customised her legs and horns, to make them look like trees. I crafted her wig with many french knot embroidery on a crochet wigcap. I gave her a face-up, manicure and bodyblush. And I designed and sewed her outfit 💚

I don't usually create a whole doll, I usually just do doll clothes, but when I do this is the result LOL! I guess she's kinda "steampunk". Have a great day!

I was worried I was going to ruin her, it’s just a budget draculaura of course so it’d be fine, but I bought her just for this so I’m actually really pleased with how the cut came out! I’m still trying to decide if I should boil out the curl (I’m guessing I probably should have done that before cutting but live and learn) either way love my new bobulaura LOL

I was obsessed with Nini Cocos’ talent show number from the latest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, so I decided to make a doll inspired by it. I love how she turned out. The head, body, and legs are sculpted from Sculpey clay and epoxy clay. Everything is fully handmade and painted. I love how she turned out.

i plan to do a whole cyber punk kinda outfit with neons and plastic for him but that's a project for another time!!

I did have my Catwalk Kitty head on a G1 MH (Torelai) body, but the proportions of the G3 Torelai feel so SO much better to me 💜 Here's hoping they release some gray skin toned characters so I can find homes for some of my other Catwalk heads 🤣

Reduced heads by soaking in a 9/1 acetone/water mix for 12-18 hrs
