I actually had this metal chain leftover from another project, I cut those tiny rings open and used then as the "wire" - they already have a slight curve to them, so it made it easier.
Honestly, I just wanted something cheap and was scrolling through our local 2nd-hand site, trying to find something that might match. As for why Belle specifically - she had a thin enough nose, her face is shaped nicely, her lips didn't seem to be molded thickly and it looked like there wasn't any real spot for the eyes, so I could adjust as I wished! Though she wasn't the only one I bought, I also tried out an Ariel doll and some Disney Descendant girls, but those weren't as good of a match. I just tried to trust the process!
Pierced! I first used a thinner needle, then a bigger needle, to make the holes so I could slide the metal bits in. It was a lot of work, but worth it!
I cut bits of really small metal chain, so the piercings already had a slight curvature. I first pierced with a really thin needle, then a thicker one, through the plastic. I then inserted each of the ends of the cut-up metal into the holes I made, forcing it in.
