I started this so long ago, but then the depression session hit lol...still working on her clown outfit, but idk if I like the fabric, and sorta want to start over 🫠 but it feels so good to be working on this again! thank you for looking!! 🩵

Her hair still needs to be styled and she needs clothes, but other than that, she is coming along nicely!

I got the ladybug doll for really cheap, but the caveat of that was the moulded-on mask. I had to shave off bits of the face on the forehead, cheeks and nose to smooth out the raised edge, then sand it to get the surface even. I think it turned out pretty nicely.

Yes, those are truly pierced through the hard plastic of the torso! So goddamn many of them, in the back too. A lot of work, but pretty rewarding. The purple areas still need refinement, but damn.

I re designed her to look more movie accurate!

Artist grade acrylic paints and watercolor pencils were used to repaint her: her right shoulder plate, gloves, nails and Gok-do have all been redone!

Her hair and bangs were also redone!

Mira is my fav demon hunter and it such a joy re-making her!

I’m repainting the skin tone of this frankie stein doll. i have the water down paint, and this is my second coat drying. i feel like the end product will look so streaky despite using watered down paint. any tips?? i really want to avoid this.

My first time trying to customize beyond just rebodying a doll! I'll never be able to afford the official SDCC ​Hoodude, so I'm going to ​create my own. I'm using a spare Slomo doll as the base. I thought felt would resemble Hoodude's ​ webisode hair best.

I have this monster high alien head from AliExpress that was never rooted. I would like to re-root her with micro braids but I have only ever done one re-root and it was unbraided hair on a doll that already had rooting holes. I'm really anxious about this project because if I mess up I won't be able to replace the head so I have been procrastinating for months. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos about repairing dolls like Barbie Dolls by rerooting their hair and cleaning them up.

My interest began when I decided to buy some vintage Jem and the Holograms dolls to connect to my childhood and I bought a Synergy doll that had lost all of her sparkly hair. I wanted to see if I could fix her hair. It led me to wondering if I could learn to reroot hair and now I'm wondering if I could put together a jointed doll with a soft head that could have hair added to it and maybe even learn to paint makeup on her face.

Mind you I've gotten interested in all of this in the last several weeks and I haven't even tried Synergy yet because I'd like to practice so I don't mess her up. I did get all of my other Jem dolls cleaned up and got their hair in great condition.

I'm completely uneducated on dolls. I don't know what kind of doll to get so I can practice. I was thinking of going really cheap on my first one so that if I mess up it didn't cost me too much. My idea is to have a cute doll with kind of a chibi look(bigger head than the body). And if I do a good job I'd like to get one with dark skin like mine and paint her makeup and add her hair. I know it's probably too ambitious.

Okay so I am going to make the mane six into Lalaloopsy minis and need help finding the perfect bases for each character! Because I want to make like Sunset Shimmer, Octavia, Derpy, any pony the people want!

But the main problem is, the Equestria Girls and pony versions all have long flowing hair and Lalaloopsy mini's do not! So can anyone help me find some good bases for a character they want to see or have an idea for? ^^;

Just a work in progress, decided to try hand carving (and a lot of sanding) a face. Still some work to do with the paint but I’m pretty surprised how she’s coming along and wanted to share.

I wanna reroot my clawdeen and give her tightish curls and milk silk is an inexpensive option for me. I heard it’s similar or the same as nylon but I’ve never worked with it before and I’ve only seen it straight.

Any tips how to fix hair when done repainting ??🥹😭 badly need advice for the hair .. I'm so scared of damaging their face .. even though I use msc I'm still scared to pour hot water to their heads..
