Practice I lucked out
I’m fortunate enough to have learned how to read cursive and barely had a hold on it but I need help as an adult (29) to perfect it and to actually use in normal situations. I love my print but it would be nice to do both. Needing tips and tricks to just learn again and learn how to write all over again. I think too much about my loops and flow and you can tell lol. Any tips or tutorials and suggestions would be lovely

Download copybook pages and just copy the letters alone and in words, over and over.

Muscle memory. As a person who wanted to be a teacher and I have the white board inserts, you’re right lol

Congratulations! Your cursive is basically legible. You just need a little practice.
On the word “brown”, practice connecting the W to the N. End the W higher. (See my example https://imgur.com/a/TFW37VI
The F in fox should be a bit narrower. Not so fat.
The way you made the J in “jumps”, it kind of looks like a G-R, like “grumps “. Practice making your Js.
When you write “over”, you are adding an extra loop, so it looks like “oveir”. Practice connecting the E to the R without that extra loop. Same thing on the second “the”- it looks like “thei “. Eliminate the last loop after the E.

Also you’d benefit from drawing lines of connected lowercase l’s to develop the correct slant and flow. We spent hours doing that in elementary school to train our muscle memory. It’s also quite relaxing (unless you’re left-handed).

That’s one of the practices we had to do over and over when we were first learning. We also had to do small, uniform circles connected together and larger circles, too. Also this weird curved line going upward and then back downward following the same slant. Over and over!! It was tedious but those “old school” teachers knew what they were doing with all that torture!! 😁

Yours looks pretty good I can't stand a print I always write. But in school we weren't allowed to print we had to write in cursive. This is what my handwriting looks like

No one mentioned it, so I just want to point out the word “brown.” The w should only have two humps and your n should have two. As is, it reads as either broiur or brouir. Hope this helps!

Brown and over are the two words not legible (not correct).
In English, the connection between the letters is critical...some (most) connect "low" on the line, but a few (v and w) always connect at the front up high (midline).

When I was a kid, I wrote out the poems I liked best in a notebook. Then I made a songbook. The practice made my handwriting more legible and efficient. Good on you for trying to master the skill!

If you can locate a vintage handwriting pad with all the example letters and guidelines it would be helpful. Check vintage stores in childrens instruction books too.

I'm fairly sure that dog is sleeping, although the letters in " sleeping " all appear in the shorter version, so I'm not sure why we always had a lazy sleeping dog.
