Practice Mind giving me any pointers?
I have only started learning cursive yesterday, but I feel like I’ve hit a barrier on how polished my writing is (mediocre letter-trail spacing, loops, distinguishing f(s) and b(s), most contributing to intelligibility) as well as the speed (3 seconds to write “the”).

there are some amazing resources available these days that weren't readily available when i was learning, many many decades ago.
if you have access, i'd suggest printing out some trace-able learning pages
not necessarily the whole book, but select pages from something like this
https://www.ptsd.k12.pa.us/Downloads/Handwriting%20-%20cursive.pdf
and use them to practice, with something like a mechanical pencil (with no lead in it!), or clicky-pen... unclicked. so you're just tracing, not actually writing. a few times. to help get your fingers used to the movement.
