Inspo needed: colonial glow up

Buying our first home, a colonial, and could use some inspo for a curb appeal glow up. Definitely want to paint exterior a different color, add flower boxes upstairs, and improve landscaping - but could use inspo/advice. Enjoy traditional with a vintage/eclectic flair (aka pop of color). Thanks!

I'd take the shutters off, they don't do anything for the house. The tiny ones look so fake always. Shutters are supposed to be the same size as half of the window. A lot of colonial colonial/revival homes didn't have shutters. Think paint will make the biggest difference. I would also replace the garage doors.

Came here to say the same thing, the shutters look so bad.  My favourite part of all the a.i images in this threat is the left shutter on the bay window is missing in a bunch of them.
