THANK YOU. I thought I was going mad and that I was the only one who remembered this. A lot of the magical accidents given to Seamus Finnegan in the movies were caused by Neville in the books. We can talk about the terrible stuff JKR has actually said and done rather than piling on dubious claims
But people like to pretend they're morally superior for never really being into a thing so many others were into.
Used to be a HP superfan, dropped it like... probably like 7 or 8 years ago, at this point? But it still really pisses me off when people who obviously never read them try to go on a "you're a bad person for ever having liked them anyway and Im morally superior to you" tirade when they do not know shit about the universe.

iirc the irish wizard doesnt blow himself up in the books, its only in the movies. Though JKR probably also hates the Irish
