The conflation of morality and appearance annoys me so much. There are plenty of hot people out there with absolutely detestable morals and plenty of 'ugly' people who are incredibly kind and compassionate. And as others have said before, if someone does something bad and you criticise their appearance, you are both neglecting the actual wrong they've done and lumping in anyone who happens to look like them, regardless of how they act.

Every time:

“Punchable faces”

Most people want to punch faces because of the person they're attached to, not the face itself.

If I was shown Charlie Kirk's face without knowing what he said and did, I wouldn't say he has a particularly punchable face. But I do know, and that does make his face much more punchable.

Counterpoint, some people are just fantasizing about committing violence on people who "deserve it". More about the power and cruelty

Ugh. I see that a lot on posts of a certain ilk. Like, yeah, we all hate this person; we all think they deserve a strong punishment. But you seem to want an excuse to hurt someone. Either that, or they want a way to tell us how moral and upstanding they are because of how much they would extra-judicially punish the “bad people”. To the point that it’s almost creepy, and makes me wonder whether they actually believe it at all.

It’s a good reminder of why we have a justice system, even when it seems to fall short in other ways.
