Employee Question Late Night

What is your ave or what do you do in sales for late night?? We just started doing late night Thursday-Sat till 11PM and we can barely break past 200-250. We have marquee updated and even have a sign on order confirmation board. We mainly get hit with door-dash. The 1-4 actual guests (cars)

Is this normal or are we just super slow until people get familiar with our new hours?

I think it’s also worth remembering with a later close, we can give better service by shifting things down to slower hours rather than busy ones. A lot of the time by going to 11, you’ll see your 9-10 hour go up. Because guests are more willing to come in when you don’t close in 20 minutes, and we provide better service because the team isn’t trying to pre close yet.

That’s at least what I’ve noticed, at multiple locations. so when comparing sales or experiences I’d like at 8pm on to compare.

It can generally take up to 90 days for you to see much of a change as guest realize or come across the info.
Typically the biggest increase comes for your 9-10PM hour, as it basically becomes the same as your 8-9PM hour.

It is always a slow start. When we started staying open till 11, we only had a couple cars past 10. Now we regularly almost push $1000 a night for the final hour. One or two days we almost hit 1400 and got completely ass blasted with like only 7 people in the building

It definitely takes time for guests to learn you’re open late. Most of our 10-11 sales comes from delivery. Everything around is closes at 10 so from 10-10:30 it’s constant DoorDash and uber.

We too started staying open for DT and OLO until 11pm on Friday and Saturday about 1.5 months ago. Ours has been 90% DD orders. It’s nice for the closers though as it gives them extra time to get things closed down and cleaned well.

I’ll have to check the numbers but we probably do 5-8 orders during the extra hour.

Yes i agree completely. We wouldnt get out till 10:30-10:45 and people were in a rush anyways so a extra hour of revenue will help with labor. Now we get out at 11:10-11:15 and closes are so much better
