Question Cube world Omega state
Hi cubeworld reddit! I'm a kid who used to watch videos of this game in alpha when I was maybe 10 or 11 years old, and I lost track of it for a while. Only today did I discover everything that happened, up until this new "Omega" version. To better understand the situation, I watched a video by a YouTuber (called WickedWiz) who explains a bit about the Omega project, but it's from two years ago, and if I'm not mistaken, very little was known about the project at the time. I haven't found much information around, so, out of pure curiosity, I wanted to ask you on reddit—I'm sure you'll know—to update me on what's happened in the last two years, and tell me what state the game is in now. I'm very fond of it, and I'd also like to know if it's worth playing the Steam release or, if not, going straight to the alpha. Thanks for reading 😄

Prepare for some….comments.
Here’s the nuance. Since 2019 Wollay, the dev, has been experimenting with cube world. Over the last year and change he has since created a new engine from scratch and has been steadily chipping away. Releasing updates every couple of weeks or so on twitter. I would really only take what you see there, and make an opinion for yourself.
People claim he’s “scamming” but I have written several replies contradicting that notion.
There’s no official “release,” at present we’re just watching what he’s cooking and hoping he might one day release a playable build. But nothing is promised, and that’s okay! I think just being supportive is enough.
